Keiko Moroboshi: *The japanese woman walks
through the park, bundled up against the cold*
Keiko Moroboshi: *she walks slowly along the path,
her phone is off, she appears to be thinking...the cold may be being used to
help keep her awake as she does so, after all, even bundled up, she's still
feeling the cold*
Kelton Michaels: ((The dice ordered a
cripple)) He's sitting on a bench in Battery, with a slightly uneasy look about
himself. He's never quite gotten over his first encounter here, it seems. A
heavy tweed coat rests over his usual clothes, cane held between his knees, end
against the ground and both hands on the handle.
Keiko Moroboshi: *she walks nearby, and stops to
look at the sky*
Keiko Moroboshi:
d10: Per+Alert: 1,1,2,1,2,6,
Keiko Moroboshi: ((Kelton? Who's that? Where am I?
I'M BLIND!...well, at least I didn't botch))
Kelton Michaels: ((*G* True dat. In the
interests of the scene actually progressing, not rolling.)) He looks up from his
bech seat, looking over Keiko. He offers her a formal nod. "Good evening."
Keiko Moroboshi: *she looks surprised, she NEVER
misses things like this...even when she's distracted, it's unnerving* "Good
evening."
Kelton Michaels: "Miss Moroboshi. How are
you?" He watches her with an expression that's calm and even, perhaps a slight
hint of some emotion or another.
Keiko Moroboshi: "I am..." *stops a moment as
though to consider the question* "doing tolerably. And you, Mister Michaels?"
((delete the name if he never IDed himself, but I THINK he did, just not
sure...I know she did))
Kelton Michaels: ((He did. :) )) He offers
a faint smile and shrugs. "I am as I ever am, madame. Whether that is a positive
or negative depends entirely upon factors I do not believe I am destined to
learn about."
Keiko Moroboshi: *she nods* "I am acutely aware of
that feeling."
Kelton Michaels: "Oh?" He considers, then
nods. "It is a most frustrating sensation, isn't it?"
Keiko Moroboshi: "Yes, it very much is." *she nods
her agreement*
Kelton Michaels: "Did everything go well
with the collection of assorted individuals from a few weeks back?"
Keiko Moroboshi: "It was..." *she again seems to be
attempting to choose her words* "That night did not end terribly well for most
of those involved, though some of the issues were resolved later."
Kelton Michaels: He nods a little bit.
"That's good to hear."
Keiko Moroboshi: *she nods* "And how have things
developed for you since that night?"
Kelton Michaels: "They have not,
particularly." He shrugs. "Such seems to be the way it goes in this day and age,
in my experience."
Keiko Moroboshi: *nods* "Periods of silence
interrupted by nights of insanity."
Kelton Michaels: "As you say." He offers a
brief smile, then shrugs. "I assume that, when there is need or want of me, that
I will be called upon. However, I do not believe, based upon past activities,
that there is a point in offering. It seems to consistantly fall upon dead
ears."
Keiko Moroboshi: "There is always need for those
willing to help. It is unfortunate that those who are in a position to do the
calling are regularly negligent about doing so." *shakes her head*
Kelton Michaels: He chuckles a little bit.
"At this point, I would settle for not being ignored and walked away from while
I attempt to make a segueway into a more detailed introduction. But yes, I
agree."
Keiko Moroboshi: *she nods* "Many are too wrapped up
in their own obsessions to even notice that others exist.."
Kelton Michaels: His smile quirks a little
bit, into something a bit more amused. "So I have noticed."
Keiko Moroboshi: *she actually blushes slightly at
that, though he might not be able to see in the dim light...though she also
lowers her face slightly*
Kelton Michaels: His head tilts a little
bit, watching her. "Are you quite all right, Miss Moroboshi?"
Keiko Moroboshi: "Umm...yes, I'm fine." *she'll nod*
Kelton Michaels: He nods a little bit,
accepting it at face value. "Very well, then. So...Miss Moroboshi, what do you
do? It was not able to be brought up earlier, due to the events that took
place."
Keiko Moroboshi: "I am a doctor. And yourself?"
Kelton Michaels: "I used to be a teacher.
Now...I have no occupation."
Keiko Moroboshi: "Oh? Change in circumstances, or
did the children get to you?" *he's got her curious*
Kelton Michaels: "A change in
circumstances, I'm afraid." He nods a little bit. "Although, I'm afraid, the
details are a bit sketchy to me."
Keiko Moroboshi: *she nods* "That is too bad."
Kelton Michaels: "Perhaps. I have found,
though, that lingering on the past is not wise. I have tried to never been one
for looking backward...always forward, if I could. When I thought there was a
forward to look to."
Keiko Moroboshi: *nods* "The future is something we
can exert some control over. Though it is usually a good idea to know how you
got to where you are."
Kelton Michaels: "You will not get an
argument with me in that respect, Miss Moroboshi. If such information is not
available, though...where does that leave you?" He shrugs a bit. "It leaves you
with only the stars to guide you into the future, and the patterns laid out
within them."
Keiko Moroboshi: *she nods* "Then I suppose you must
stop worrying about it, and continue on."
Kelton Michaels: "The soundest advice I
have been able to come up with, yes."
Keiko Moroboshi: *she nods* "And I apologize for
this, but I must be going...work in the morning." ((...and I should be heading
to bed))
Kelton Michaels: "Of course." He rises to
his feet, with effort, and reaches out to help her up before a slight bow of his
shoulders. "Good evening, Miss Moroboshi."
Keiko Moroboshi: ((she never sat down)) "And a good
evening to you, Mister Michaels." *she will bow slightly as well, before heading
on her way* ((and good night, thanks for the scene *waves*))
