Miranda Okanedo:
Miranda comes out of the library, moving to the
main room of Madame Ling's. The woman looks good as ever, for the most
part...calm, relaxed. Resolute. War with the Union, Chantry members with demon
boyfriends, Chantry members with vampire boyfriends...it's all merely problems
to deal with. Or perhaps she's just good at hiding it. Now, they go to deal with
a problem. She goes to find Marty, so that they may speak with Briar.
Marty Starling:
*He has been practicing his forms. Meditating.
but he is easily enough found by Miranda. He re-emerges, with a slight scowl on
his face. Not directed at Miranda.*
Briar Kennedy: She has been resting and recouping,
she has not left the Chantry except small trips for necesary items. She has been
taking care of her children and waiting. What else can she do. When they now
wish to speak with her she leave's the babies in someone's care, whomever she
can find really.
Miranda Okanedo:
"Is everything all right?" She tilts her head
slightly, looking to her cabal mate and co-Deacon?
Miranda Okanedo:
((Minus the ? at the end, of course. Eye kan tipe!))
Marty Starling:
*He scratches behind one ear, and shrugs.* Lot to
think about. *He looks up to Miranda, wearily.* We're going to speak to her.
*Not a question, not at all.*
Miranda Okanedo:
She nods slightly to him. "I believe she is
upstairs in her room."
Marty Starling:
*He nods, and turns from the main room. To the
staircase. No more words, time to find Tansy.*
Miranda Okanedo:
She moves along at Marty's side, traversing the
stairs with grace, up to her room. Down the hallway, and she comes to the door,
knocking lightly.
Briar Kennedy: She is waiting sitting on the bed.
She stands up when they arrive, opening the door she stands aside not know if
they wanted to come in or go elsewhere to talk."Hello" she says to both of them.
Marty Starling:
*He lowers his head slightly.* We have to speak,
*he murmurs. He looks to Miranda.*
Miranda Okanedo:
"We do." She nods, looking to Marty, and then
back to Briar. "May we come in?" Always civil.
Briar Kennedy: Straightening her shoulders she
nods her head. "Of course." hell she has been expecting this for what 3 weeks
now since the day she arrived back. "Please come in." she stands off to the
side, waiting for them to come inside. The small room had been re-arranged
slightly. The bed pushed up against a wall now, beside it on the floor two
bassenets, the desk has been turned into a changing table of sorts, and the
dresser is a storage area of sorts, but it is neat and clean and there is two
chairs in there it seems for them to sit down.
Marty Starling:
*He looks over to the baby cradles, and cants his
head, nearly fascinated. But his head jerks back to Tansy. Quickly, rapidly,
watching her, as if forced.*
Miranda Okanedo:
She steps in, moving to take a seat in one of the
chairs, hands folding in her lap. She looks to Marty once more, letting him
start for now. Letting him express his thoughts on the matter.
Briar Kennedy: The bassenets are empty right now.
They are being watched by someone she found willing to take them for a time. She
takes a seat on the bed putting her hands in her lap and looking to Marty. As it
seems he is the one to do the initial talking.
Marty Starling:
Let me first say, *he murmurs,* that I am glad...
you're back. That you are safe. *He looks up.* In normal times, this discussion
would be over far more quickly. But these are not... normal times.
Briar Kennedy: She nods her head swallowing hard and
looking down to her lap briefly before looking back up.
Miranda Okanedo:
She nods slightly in agreeance with Marty's
words. "You know what most people would think about this sitation, Tansy? About
what you have been through?"
Briar Kennedy: "That I have betrayed the mages." she
says. "And for my interactions with Demons that I should be killed as a trator.
For my actions would be deemed as evil." she says evenly to them.
Marty Starling:
*He nods.* It crossed my mind, *he says softly.*
I would have done it painlessly.
Briar Kennedy: She looks to Marty. "That would have
been too kind."
Marty Starling:
*He shrugs at that.* Be as it may. We've other
ideas.
Briar Kennedy: She looks from Marty to Miranda and
then back. "Okay."
Miranda Okanedo:
She nods quietly. "We are in a war against the
Trechnocracy, Tansy. Whether that is a fortuitous situation for you or not is
debatable. However, you are a valuable ally. And your circumstances are
extentuating. Your children are not tainted, and neither are you. You were
fooled, and somehow, you have managed to evade eternal corruption. You should
recognize exactly how lucky you are of that. Consider how many Nephandi that
have died at the hands of the Traditions, and be lucky that you did not end up
eternally trapped, your Avatar warped."
Marty Starling: It is because of that war that you are still alive, *he says calmly.* Untouched. It is why it has taken us so long to determine what should happen to you. Unfortunately... your punishment has to be delayed until we can clear up this mess. But that does not mean it will not happen.
Briar Kennedy: She nods her head and bows it to
Miranda's words. "I am lucky. Which is why I came back, to not run and trick
either of you, but to come forward with what I did."
Briar Kennedy: A nod to Marty. "Of course, I would
think no less."
Miranda Okanedo:
She smiles very faintly. "And the fact that you
have done so speaks much to you, and knowing what you have done wrong. As Marty
has said, until such time as the Technocracy has been pushed back some, you
shall not be punished because of this. And your children shall not be harmed.
The sins of the parents shall not become the sins of the children."
Marty Starling:
But it is assured. You shall be punished, and
your magic shall be punished as well. *He looks to Tansy.* And I would like to
speak with the thing that did this to you.
Briar Kennedy: She nods her head, a breath of relief
for her childrens sakes at least. "However I can aid in this fight I will do
so." she pauses for a moment and asks. "Am I still able to go forward with being
Briar, and to have Tansy to the rest of the world appear as dead?"
Briar Kennedy: She nods her head to marty and then
pauses and looks at him. "Did which what to me?"
Marty Starling:
The one that entranced you, *he says calmly.*
Briar Kennedy: "I do not know what they look like
now, as I did kill the host that they were inhabiting at the time."
Miranda Okanedo:
"The Demon who...yes, entranced you."
Marty Starling:
Then I shall have to force him out. *He looks
over to Miranda.*
Miranda Okanedo:
She nods a little to Marty. "I am sure that can
be accomplished."
Briar Kennedy: She sighs this is not going to go
over well. "They are part of the Treaty, just so that you know. And I will give
you what information I can in aiding you with this."
Marty Starling:
Just talk, until things go wrong, *He corrects
Briar.* And then, it will be him that starts it. Not myself. And any information
you can. As soon as possible. I am aware of the timing. Your children. Of
course, come first. *He says it so blandly; maybe he doesn't actually mean it.*
Briar Kennedy: She nods her head. "Okay."
Briar Kennedy: "Would you like for me to tell you or
write it down for you?" She asks. Still waiting to find out about the whole
weather or not Tansy can be dead to everyone else thing.
Marty Starling:
Tell me. During meditation tomorrow. *He sighs.*
Tansy is dead, for your own safety.
Miranda Okanedo:
She nods. "You have been through much, Tansy. it
is unfortunate that you must be through more, until this is over, but we are all
accountable to our deeds. I suggest you attend the upcoming Tribunal to
understand that more clearly."
Briar Kennedy: A nod of her head to Marty. "I can do that." and then to Miranda. "I will attend the tribunal." no questions regarding it, she has her own information sources.
Miranda Okanedo:
"Good." She nods a little and looks to Marty, to
see if he has anything else to add.
Marty Starling:
*Nothing else. His head lowers again.*
Briar Kennedy: "Thank you, both of you. For
everything." she says softly. She is quite aware that her life has been held in
their hands.
Marty Starling:
*He shakes his head.* Don't thank us yet.
Miranda Okanedo:
She merely nods and rises. "You know where to
find me if you need me, Briar." Tansy no more.
Marty Starling:
*He turns, without any other words, and leads the
way, maybe. His head remains lowered, as he steps out of her room.*
Briar Kennedy: She looks to Marty, but doesn't
comment then nods her head to Miranda. "Yes I do."
Miranda Okanedo:
A slight nod, and she follows Marty out, leaving
Briar to her own. She shuts the door behind her.
Marty Starling:
*He doesn't look back, merely walks down the
steps, towards the main room again, to sit down and meditate once more.*
Briar Kennedy: ((*Hugs muchly* thank you both for
the scene.))
Marty Starling:
((Was good... T'anks for being on! I sleep now!))
