Moody Bleak: "Looks like the place," she said, circling around it like a caveman checking on a sleeping mammoth. The Vanagon was parked down a couple of blocks, she had no clue as to the protocol of such things and she didn't wish to step on any toes, at least by accident. Once she figured out where the side door was, as per instruction, she slowly walked to it, pondering what to say to this Jody person. The amazon couldn't help but think that she was being led through a servant's entrance when she pressed the intercom button. "Dude. It's Moody. I'm here to see a Jody about, like, a business thing?"

Jody Yu: There's a momentary pause, before the door opens, and a man dressed in the standard Concerto Security Uniform...a blue outfit, almost like a suit. He looks her over and nods, waving her inside. "Come on in. You know the rules?"

Moody Bleak: "Dude. I know enough to come here. Other than that I'm flying like a crippled bomber over Europe. All this shit is ah... kinda loopy to me. Nice place."
She drank it all in, the wealth of the place. In her past she'd seen similar but hadn't been access to it, back when she was a child and things were different, more violent, less expanded.

Jody Yu: The door is closed behind Moody. No checking for weapons is done, perhaps surprisingly. "No violence on these grounds. I wouldn't suggest trying anything particularly...special, either. It won't work. Miss Yu is this way." He gestures with his hand, then turns to lead Moody through the maze of hallways that make up the backstage area.

Moody Bleak: "Wards? Can't sense them."
She followed, noting what the man said. If this was the supernatural version of the UN, and it seemed to be, then of course they would take measures to ensure that the place wouldn't get razed should somebody disagree to the point of getting uppity. Moody was sure that the place, in one way or another, was loaded for bear.
"Dude, question? How long has this Concerto existed?"

Jody Yu: "The Concerto's been in operation for about two hundred years," he says as he leads them through, toward the main office.

Moody Bleak: "Two hundred years..." she repeated to herself. It made sense really, as much sense as a mage that never considered the concept could figure. Lots of supernaturals in a city, even as big as this one would tend to conflict every once in a while. That in turn would draw unwanted attention and everybody would be screwed. So, there was this.
When they came to the door she waited, looking at her sneakers, standing on the sides of her feet like a giant ten year old.

Jody Yu: He knocks on the door and then steps aside, looking to Moody. "Miss Yu is expecting you."

Moody Bleak: Moody nodded, thanking him for his time, and opened the door to the office. The first thing she wanted was a seat. The second thing she wanted was to open the half pound bag of Peanut M&M's she had in her pants pocket. Moody had the munchies something fierce.

Jody Yu: She's rising from her chair behing the desk as the door opens. Small and innocuous...those would be the first words many would use to describe Jody. Standing at 5’4”, and weighing nary more then 110 pounds, her racially mixed blood is obvious, with a strong hint of Asian features in her caucasion face. Her ebony hair is cut short, making her look much younger then her 32 years of age. She’s dressed in a simple yet elegant black evening dress. Her eyes, a bright green with tiny gold flecks in them, carry a note of keen intelligence, worldly knowledge, and wisdom.

She smiles politely to Moody, stepping out from behind the desk as she extends her hand toward her. "Good afternoon. I'm Jody Yu."

Moody Bleak: "Dude! S'up. Name's ah, Moody. Moody Bleak. Do I have to um... give... well, that's probably par for the course, telling you what I am and shit."
She shook hands with Jody, a good soild grip, and then Moody sat down and pulled out her bag of M&M's. "I don't mean to ah, look frivolous or like... vapid. But I've gotta serious case of the munchies. You want some?"

Jody Yu: She smiles courteously and shakes her head. "No, thank you. Your...affiliation would be appreciated, yes, to expediate matters. Please, have a seat." She gestures to the seat on Moody's side of the desk, then moves to take her own.

Moody Bleak: She shrugged and opened the bag, pouring herself a handful. "Anytime you wanna dude, not a problem. Otherwise I'll just have to workout a little harder to like, burn the calories. But ah... business. Yeah. I'm a mage, you see. Just came into town right, getting like, the lowdown on shit, trying to make the contacts, keeping the shit on the downlow. You might have like, read in the paper about bonfires on the beach, how a bum... I can't believe they printed that, it's a wonder they haven't gotten flak, a bum... anyway he was pushed into a fire. That was like, me. And like, the reason being? He was a vampire and he attacked the group I was in."

Jody Yu: She smiles when Moody identifies herself as a Mage, although what comes after, the description of the incident, causes her to frown. "I see. Do you know the identity of the vampire in question?"

Moody Bleak: "Guy said his name was Terry Moon. At first, well, it goes back a bit. I was hanging out with some people, chillin' in Battery, smoking a little like, doobage. That's when I first met the guy. Now, me, I don't judge. I see a guy, down on his luck, probably looked at with disdain, and he's friendly enough. So we shoot the shit. Everything's like, roesy. This happened for a couple for nights."
She popped a few M&M's in her mouth, and her face became a little less humored. "The third meeting, I'm with like, the usual suspects, and Terry comes around again. But this time it's like, different. It's like he's freaking out or something, you dig me? And he looks at me, and he tells me that I'm like, a walking corpse. Straight out of the blue, you get the vibe? And I'm sitting here... like, what the fuck? Dude, take your tests, do what you have to do to confirm, but I'm not a walking corpse. So, naturally, I kinda think he's a little off, and I tell him to chill out, go home and take a nap. Eventually he calms down a little, and wanders off to... wherever he goes."
She sighed. "The last time was the beach. Again, I'm hanging out, chillin with the pals near a campfire. Out of the fucking blue he shows up, sits down a ways from the fire, and he starts to apologize for what happened the last time, and like... I notice that he's kinda freaking on the fire thing. I have like, mixed feelings about this, mainly because he's acting like... well, like a animal acts when there's a fire around. But he's off aways. So I figure that it's cool... turns out it wasn't cool. All of a sudden he rushes us, fangs out, looking HORRIBLE."

Jody Yu: ((Dude...easy there. *G* You can break those kinds of posts up into a few...))

Moody Bleak: ((Sorry. Moody has a tendency to roll))

Jody Yu: She listrens calmly as Moody brusts through all that information with barely a breath. "I see. What happened next, that he ended up in the fire? Your friends...are they Sleepers, or Awakened?"

Moody Bleak: "Well, the guy was... he just went berzerk, as I said. Dude, we did not antagonize this guy in any way... didn't fuck with him, didn't like, tease him. Nothing. But ah, anyways... he comes charging, heading for a friend of mine, arms out, fangs bared. Terry was going to kill him from the looks of it, I mean this guy was inhuman. So I give him a leg sweep, so that he falls into the fire. Then I bolt. I figure the others would bolt as well. Bad vibes."
She considered the other part of the question. Spenser, I found out, rather recently, is a Mage. Gabe is... he sleeps."

Jody Yu: "I see." She nods a little bit. "Thank you for the information, Miss Bleak. Is there anything else you know about Mister Moon?"

Moody Bleak: "Not really. Seems to have had, like, a hard time with things. I can't imagine what his... um... what he does night to night. Seems like a transient, homeless, a dude on the streets. Um... if need be I can pick out the spot on the beach, if you guys... er, do the juju gig."
A question came to mind. "What's gonna happen?"

Jody Yu: "We will make contact with his people and divulge the information to them. A violation of the Treaty has occurred, and if this vampire holds association with any faction, he will be held liable as such."

Moody Bleak: His people... there are more of those types out there? Moody made a little face at the thought. "As long as he doesn't like, come at me or anything... it's cool. Also, if he comes after the people I'm with, then naturally I'll defend them as best as I'm able under um... y'know, the circumstances. I'm assuming these people aren't going to pull a US government and like, sweeep it under the rug."

Jody Yu: "You are allowed to defend any members of the Treaty, of course," she says with a nod. "However, I am afraid must point out that Sleepers are not covered under the Treaty. As much as I wish this was not the case, this Gabe is not, technically, protected."

Jody Yu: "And no, this will not be swept away. This vampire violated their Rule of Shade, Miss Bleak. They are very strict about enforcing it."

Moody Bleak: "Technically. What do you mean by that?"
She figured there was a loophole in there somewhere. Moody thought about Gabe then, and the person that loved him. Her lips pursed a bit. Jamie was a mage, after all. Not the wisest of Magi but still...

Jody Yu: "The Treaty exists in order to minimize casualties to the Sleeper population within the various wars we and other supernaturals fight amongst each other. However, vampires still must have something to subsist on. We still have our Consors...vampires have their servants. And so on. And on a more important note...as I'm sure you know, it's Sleepers that truly shape our destiny. They must be left to do so, unfettered by our direction from behind the scenes. It is the way of things."

Moody Bleak: "That doesn't... well, it makes sense. So he'll never know, which is like, a good thing. And pardon my saying so, because I could be like, so wrong, but you sound like a magi yourself."
A small smile. "Dude. If you could like, put a word in? Because the wheels of progress grind slow."

Jody Yu: She smiles warmly and nods. "Indeed I am. I am a tulku of the Akashayana, within the Kannagara Sect. How do you mean, though, by putting a word in? Do you mean as far as Mr. Moon's people?"

Moody Bleak: "Dude. I've no desire to see another one of those guys again," she said, munching away. "I meant the mages. I'm a bit of like, a rare breed these days. Cultist, K'an Lu. I've... um... I've felt others, talked to a few. They were supposed to tell the people in charge, the deacons I guess, but it's been weeks."

Jody Yu: "Ahhh." She nods a little bit. "I am not the person to guve a word, Miss Bleak. I do not have association with the Traditions anymore, by virtue of my neutrality. I can supply your contact information to the Chantries within the city."

Moody Bleak: "I'd like that a lot," she said, smiling a little. "But ah... possible problem? I've heard of the lastest tangle with the Black Hats, and understandably everybody's a little paranoid. I', not going to walk into a fireball if I like, start knocking on doors am I?"

Jody Yu: She smiles a little. "Thus why I will be providing your information, and they will be in contact with you, rather then the opposite."

Moody Bleak: "Ah, sorry... spaced there. Er, still a problem? I ah... live in a van, and..."
Well, there was Kim's place. But that would cause problems, possibly. He was about to burst, she knew, but what would the Trads think of that?

Jody Yu: "That, I'm sure, will be fine."

Moody Bleak: Well, looked as if Moody would be feeling a lot of magic coming her way. She stood up and offered her hand. "Dude! Rocking. Thank you so much for all this, it's really been intense, but I've enough problems with the Black Hats."

Jody Yu: She smiles and stands. "No problem at all, Miss Bleak. I am happy to be of service."

Moody Bleak: "Let's hope it has a happy ending."
Of which she was uncertain. But at least things were happening. Terry, one way or another, would be dealt with. Moody shook Jody's hand, popped another handful of M&M's in her mouth and headed out the door. One thing taken of.
One more to go.

Moody Bleak -> Jody Yu: ((You've got the rolls? AIM is being an ass))

Jody Yu -> Moody Bleak: ((Yep. I'll site-mail you something in the next day or two.))

Moody Bleak -> Jody Yu: ((Okies, thanks bunches. Psy's looking forward to the scene, and I'm glad this is out of the way, although I think the ripples are going to be huge))

Jody Yu: Once out, Security escorts Moody back to the side door, seeing her out.
