Mercury: He nods. "Full blood Cherokee myself," he says with a touch of pride.

Florentina Larione: "I've never met a..Native American." She tries to be nice, of course. "I really am glad to meet you, but more than that, you're fun so far."

Mercury: He blinks, warm smile. "Thanks. I just, I don't know, like meeting people, you know? People are facinating, so many different kinds. So what do you blog about?"

Florentina Larione: "I blog about politics and things that are wrong with the world." She shrugs non-chalantly and scratches at the back of her neck.

Mercury: Low whistle. "Well, you'll never run out of things to say, that's for sure."

Florentina Larione: "Yeah, I know. I think that's one of the hardest things about blogging. A part of me is glad to have stuff to write about, but at the same time, I wish that I didn't have anything to write about. I wish that the world would stop being so..fucked up."

Mercury: "Yeah," he sighs. "I hear ya. But it's a losing battle, isn't it? Ultimately, something has to give, and those that stand for what's right are getting fewer and fewer."

Mercury: ((he says "those OF US that stand for what's right))

Florentina Larione: "I'd like to think that there is some hope for us, you know? That there is hope that things can change and get better."

Mercury: "There's always hope, even when Pandora's Box was open there was hope. I think that the world is going to go through a purging, and it'll be a dark and terrible time, but the light and love of the Earth will shine again."

Florentina Larione: She nods in agreement, combing her fingers through her hair and letting it stand up on end. "Mm..that is too true..too terribly true."

Mercury: He smirks. "Gloomy subject. Me, I just figure I'll do what makes me happy and try to spread some of that happy around to others, love and care about others, make the world a little better for what few I can. And of course, vanquish evil in the hearts of mankind." He laughs.

Florentina Larione: "I can't argue with that." She chuckled, stretching again and giving him a warm smile. "I like hanging out with you already."

Mercury: He laughs. "Sweet. I don't always make a good first impression." He stands up. "I'm gonna get on home to Rei, but it was great to meet you, Tina. I'm sure I'll see you around. At Jokers, if nothing else." ((dinner *S*))

Florentina Larione: She holds out her hand to him. "Take care and walk safely, Mercury."

Mercury: He shakes it. "You, too. This park is pretty safe for those of good intentions, but keep a sharp eye out anyway."

Florentina Larione: "I will. Thanks for the warning." She grins at him. "See ya 'round."

Mercury: ((Thanks! *G* Maybe they'll figure out one day they're the same family. *snicker*))

Florentina Larione: [*laughs*Maybe. You're welcome!]

Florentina Larione: She settled back on the bench, leaning back against its back and folding her hands in her lap in front of her. Ah, it's a quiet night. She's thankful for that.

Florentina Larione: She scrawls a few things into her notebook and smiles thoughtfully. She's going to write a letter to her Mom later. And call her. For now, she's enjoying the cool night air.

Florentina Larione: Her bottom lip is drawn between her teeth and she chews thoughtfully, still scrawling in her notebook.

Florentina Larione: After a moment, she shuts the book and leans back against the bench, stretching her legs out and crossing them at the ankles.

Florentina Larione: She combs her fingers through her hair, nails scraping over her scalp.

Florentina Larione: Humming to herself, she toys with the velcro on one of the pockets of her cargo pants and just kept peeling it back and pushing it forward again. She likes the sound.

Joshua [lupus]: *He snorts, and stands up from his sleeping place in the leaves. He sniffs idly.*

Florentina Larione: d10: per+alert: 6,6,7,8,

Florentina Larione: She totally sees the awakened canine. A slow smile curves her lips and she holds a hand out. "C'mere." Fingers wiggle.

Joshua [lupus]: *He blinks at that, and he sniffs idly. He plods along in the grass, towards the girl. He cants his head.*

Florentina Larione: "C'mere. I'm not going to hurt you. I like dogs." She looks friendly.

Joshua [lupus]: *He pads over quietly.* ~ws~ I am not afraid.

Florentina Larione: Her expression softens and she gives him a genuine grin. "It is good to know that you have no fear."

Joshua [lupus]: *His ears twist forward. Almost an arched eyebrow, as he sits at her feet.* ~ws~ I don't know you.

Francesco "Frankie" Giardini: ((Reposting Previously Deleted Entrances is my Anti-Drug.)) The Wiseguy caporegime doesn't come to the park often...at all. It's a rarity, but tonight, he needs to be alone, and not in the house. Just one of those things, y'know? So he walks into the park, giving a quick look around before he starts moving along.

Lean and hungry. Poised and dangerous. That’s the words that come to mind when looking upon him. He cuts a striking figure, standing just under six feet and weighing around 160 to 170 pounds. He has a full face, just a hint of tan to otherwise fair skin, frame by shortly cropped, brown hair, a professional cut. Brown eyes carry a look of cocky intelligence to them…this isn’t some mook off the street, this man was born into greatness, and he knows it. He’s dressed in a Italian wool suit, charcoal grey, with vest and a silk tie. Black cap shoes complete the ensemble. He’s got an attitude to him…a look that’s not quite arrogance, not quite simple confidence, but somewhere in between. The world is his…it just needs to realize it.

Florentina Larione: "I'm new here." She reached to scritch behind his ears. "I'm Tina and I'm from Chicago." She murmurs, keeping her voice low so they won't be stared at.

Florentina Larione: d10: per+alert: 9,8,3,10,

Joshua [lupus]: ~ws~ Joshua. Child of Cockroach. Full Moon. Fatal Error.

Florentina Larione: She spots someone coming into the park. He looks familiar. Italian. Like a lot of the men she knows.

Florentina Larione: Then, she looks down at Josh. "Hello, cousin. Half Moon. Knows Her Stuff." A slow grin.

Joshua [lupus]: *He sits, and his tail flops a bit.*

Florentina Larione: She grins and scritches behind his ears some more, smiling softly. She feels a lot better now.

Francesco "Frankie" Giardini: d10: Per+Alert: 10,3,3,9,

Francesco "Frankie" Giardini: He looks up at Joshua and Tina, recognizing the dog but not the woman. He raises his eyebrow, and stops at a coffee vendor, getting an Americano as he watches the two.

Joshua [lupus]: *He sits there, taking what skritchings are offered. He doesn't quite look around, simply relaxing in the park, for once.*

Joshua [lupus]: d10: per+alert: 7,4,3,7,3,

Joshua [lupus]: *He sniffs lightly, and yes. His head swivels. And he lets out a stifled whuf.*

Florentina Larione: She looks over at the Italian, head cocked to the side. "You know him, Joshua?" Quietly.

Joshua [lupus]: *He looks back to the girl.* ~ws~ He is mostly okay.

Francesco "Frankie" Giardini: The money paid and the large tip offered over, he takes the steaming cup and makes his way generally toward Tina and J, giving the woman a polite smile, and just a very quick flick of the eyes and a very slight nod.

Florentina Larione: "Mostly okay?" She whispers at him before giving the Italian a friendly smile. "Hey, there."

Joshua [lupus]: *He sniffs, raising his head, his ears twisting back. Coffeeeeeeee...*

Florentina Larione: Joshua gets some more scritches because he's there and she's amused.

Francesco "Frankie" Giardini: "Hello," he says to Tina. "Nice dog." He gives J a bit of a grin, and then looks back to Tina and extends his hand. "We haven't met. Francesco Giardini."

Florentina Larione: "Florentina Larione. Tina." She takes the offered hand for a shake, her grip friendly and firm. "He's not mine. He's his own mutt." A grin sent to the mutt in question. "Nice to meet you, Francesco. Do you have a nickname?"

Joshua [lupus]: *His ears swivel towards Frankie, perhaps curiously. He finally flops on the ground between them to watch closely.*

Francesco "Frankie" Giardini: He smiles at that and shakes his head. "Let's just keep it at Francesco for now. You gotta get to know me a bit better before makin' it to nickname stages."

Florentina Larione: "Man, you remind me of my Uncle Bert. It took him forever before he let me shorten Bertalucci." She laughs and nods a little, shifting a bit on the bench. "Have a seat."

Francesco "Frankie" Giardini: He chuckles some and nods, moving to take a seat next to her with a warm "Thank you." He settles down and sips at his Americano. "So you're new in the city, I take it?"

Florentina Larione: "Yeah, I'm from Chicago. Came in not too long ago. Looking into graduate school work." She scoots a little, looking down at Joshua with a quick grin before she refocuses on Frankie. "Among other things."

Joshua [lupus]: *He looks back up at Tina, and then whuffs lightly as he flops down on the floor.*

Francesco "Frankie" Giardini: "Graduate school work, eh?" He nods a little. "What are you studying for?"

Florentina Larione: "Probably continuing my work in Poli Sci and Sociology." She ponders this for a moment before shrugging. "Uncle Carmine suggested I get out of Chicago and as a concession to my parents, I chose New York so I'd be close to, uh, family."

Capri Sciarra: The young pretty blonde, with big blue eyes, was out for a jog in the park, dressed in a rather nice looking workout outfit, dark navy blue. She's left her long hair down, instead of pulling it back out of her face.

Francesco "Frankie" Giardini: "I see." He nods, pulling a cigarette and slipping it between his lips. "So how is the Windy City, anyway? Been there once or twice, but not in years..."

Florentina Larione: "It's windy as always." A little chuckle and a shrug. "I don't know what else to tell you. I mean, crime's down." That actually makes her grin with hidden amusement.

Florentina Larione: d10: per+alert: 6,10,3,3,

Florentina Larione: A jogger, huh? It's getting sort of late, but no matter.

Joshua [lupus]: d10: per+alert: 9,8,5,8,7,

Joshua [lupus]: *He sniffs the air, his ears perking up, and he sits up quickly. Late indeed.*

Francesco "Frankie" Giardini: d10: Per+Alert: 10,4,5,7,

Francesco "Frankie" Giardini: "Yeah, I bet." He shakes his head with a slight roll of the eyes and a smirk, though there's something else there at Tina's comment. His eyes follow over to Capri, and he blinks, watching her for a second. Is there maybe something familiar there...?

Florentina Larione: "Isn't a little late for jogging?" Quietly to her two companions, as if one would answer.

Joshua [lupus]: ~ws~ A little late, *he grumbles, agreeing. Watching, verrrrry closely.*

Capri Sciarra: Late for a jogger, but not too late for them to be out talking. Strange standards. And Frankie might recognize her from someone since she's the spitting image of someone he has met. Just a little younger.

Francesco "Frankie" Giardini: "'pends how into fitness ya are," he says, watching Capri. She certainly seems to care about keeping fit.

Florentina Larione: "You said it." It's unclear at the moment just who she's talking to. She scratches her scalp, head tilting to the side as she considers the jogger.

Mercury: And he comes stomping along the paths once more, whistling a jaunty tune. Poor Joshua in Lupus.

Mercury: (~switch to brown~)

Mercury: (Bah! Red then)

Joshua [lupus]: *And yes indeed, the whistling causes his ears to twist back, and a slight whine to escape his scarred throat.*

Francesco "Frankie" Giardini: He nods to Capri as she comes closer, rising from his seat as he smooths the lines of his suit. He's not primping...no, seriously, he's not. There's just a certain decorum that must be followed when meeting such people. "Evening," he says to her, offering a polite smile.

Mercury: d10: p/a: 4,9,3,7,3,3,

Capri Sciarra: She looks up, surprised some to be greeted, making her stop and regard him closer.

Mercury: He rounds the bend, a grin as he sees the people and the wolf.

Florentina Larione: She leans to give Joshua some behind the ear scritches. "It's okay, Joshua." Whispering before she straightens and looks over at Frankie with a quizzical expression. Is the man primping?

Capri Sciarra: "Were you talking to me?" she asks Frankie.

Mercury: "Yo, Tina." And a nod to Frankie, pretty sure he knows who he is, seen him around. Grins down at Joshua. "Aw, what a cute doggie." Ready to be growled at or bitten.

Francesco "Frankie" Giardini: "I was," he says with a nod. The less formal tone to his voice that was there momentarily is gone once again, just like that. "Young lady jogging in the park...thought I'd take a moment to say hello. Besides, I think we may be vaguely acquainted, in a way. Francesco Giardini." He steps forward to offer his hand to her.

Joshua [lupus]: ~ws~ I just met her.

Mercury: He nods to...something and gives Joshua a scritch behind the ears.

Capri Sciarra: She gives him the same type of courteous and firm hand shake, looking at the others now.

Florentina Larione: "Hey, Miss Sciarra." She stands and offers her hand for a shake. "I'm from Chicago."

Mercury: He smiles and stands up, moving over to Frankie and Capri, offering his hand. "I'm Mercury. Capri Sciarra you said? Nice to meet you."

Joshua [lupus]: *He doesn't seem to mind. The skritching, after all, is good stuff.*

Capri Sciarra: She shakes hand first with Florentina, then Mercury. "Yes, that's right, Mercury."

Mercury: "Sweet. Great to meetcha." He grins again and sprawls back on the bench, resuming Joshua's scritches.

Florentina Larione: Once the hand-shaking is done, she sits back down so Josh can get more scritches.

Francesco "Frankie" Giardini: He nods to Mercury and shakes his hand once Capri is done doing so...same kind of handshake Capri got. He looks to the jogging woman and smiles. "How are things going with you and your family at the moment?"

Joshua [lupus]: *Two skritchies.* ~ws~ Did she say her name was Capri? Isn't that... a pair of short pants?

Capri Sciarra: "Going surprisingly well, thank you for asking," said with a conspiratorial grin.

Florentina Larione: Her lips quirk and she tries hard to not laugh. She turns her focus to Josh and leans forward. "And an island." Whispering.

Mercury: Well, it was good to finally meet Frankie officially, and he also has that warm, fuzzy feeling when he looks at Tina and notes her understanding of Joshua.

Capri Sciarra: She narrows her eyes about something, but only for a moment as she shakes her head.

Francesco "Frankie" Giardini: He nods to Capri, returning the grin. "Excellent. Glad to hear it."

Florentina Larione: Turning her head, she shoots Mercury a conspiratorial grin before giving Joshua some more scritchings.

Joshua [lupus]: *No laughter. He just looks confused, trying to get it all straight. He lets out a slight whine as he rubs at his muzzle with one of his front paws.*

Capri Sciarra: "Thank you for your assistance."

Mercury: Tina: "Heh. I knew you were cool." Not seeming to be talking about the Capri pants/island thing, but something else perhaps.

Mercury: "Capri, you new in town, too? Tina just came here from Chicago. I've been here a year, originally from L.A." He doesn't seem to make fun at her name...probably because so many people make fun of HIS, so who is he to laugh at someone else's?

Capri Sciarra: "I was born here."

Florentina Larione: She shrugs and tugs at her jacket while leaving Joshua to get confused while she looks over at Mercury, grinning. "I'm just me."

Mercury: "Really? Wow." He blinks. "You're about the only New Yorker I met who's really a New Yorker."

Francesco "Frankie" Giardini: He gives a disarming sort of shrug...believe it or not, the often surly man can be charming and even urbane when he needs to, as he's showing here. "Happy to help. About time we set things back on course."

Capri Sciarra: She chuckles a bit about it. "Surprising for someone named after a pair of pants, and island and a car by Ford."

Florentina Larione: "I forgot about the car." She laughs, then, a genuine display of mirth. "I'm named after my Grandpa, believe it or not."

Mercury: Capri: "Aw, don't let it bug you." He gives her an engaging smile. Well, as engaging as a full moon can manage. "I'm named after a winged god and a planet and an element; it's not so bad."

Mercury: Mutters, "And if anyone mentions the deceased singer of Queen, I'll punch 'em."

Florentina Larione: "But he was so cool!" Almost giggling. Almost.

Francesco "Frankie" Giardini: He stands back, watching for a moment as Capri becomes the center of the conversation, listening curiously.

Mercury: He rolls his eyes. "Cruisin' for a bruisin', Tina," he teases.

Capri Sciarra: "I was thinking of that actually too. As well as the record label." Then to Frankie. "I'm sorry. Sometimes I get sidetracked. But I agree, it was most definitely time to get things back where they belonged. Mother is eager to see you again too."

Florentina Larione: She likes this Capri. It's official. She nods a bit and then raises her eyebrows as she hears of what's going on between Frankie and Capri. Then, she turns her gaze to Mercury and laughs, winking. "He was so awesome."

Joshua [lupus]: ~ws~ The sweetest of the transition metals, *he offers.*

Florentina Larione: She covers her mouth with a hand to keep from giggling.

Mercury: He laughs and gives Joshua's ear a light, playful tug.

Florentina Larione: "I think he likes you, Mercury." She teases just a little bit.

Joshua [lupus]: *He lets out a small growl at that, though.* ~ws~ Careful with the ears.

Mercury: "Sorry," he apologizes to Joshua, giving him a good back scritch to make up for it. Whispers softly to Tina, "Packmate." He seems to have some genuine respect and brotherly affection for Joshua.

Francesco "Frankie" Giardini: "I'm quite eager to see her, too," he says with a sincere nod to Capri, the apology waved aside as if it was unnecessary. "I've been waylaid by a personal matter, but that's taken care of, and I'm confident we'll get everything sorted out soon."

Florentina Larione: She leans a little toward Mercury. "Awesome." Fingers rake through her spiked hair and she smiles, looking between the two with amusment. Family. It's nice to be around them.

Mercury: ooc> remove the 'some' in there *S*

Capri Sciarra: "That's very good to hear," she smiles to Frankie.

Joshua [lupus]: *And that seems to satisfy him. He remains on the ground.* ~ws~ Fellow full moon and child of Cockroach as well.

Florentina Larione: "Ah, cousin." She murmurs, giving Mercury a sideways glance before leaning in to whisper in his ear.

Mercury: He smiles and whispers back to Tina.

Florentina Larione: Then, she pulls back and stretches, all smiles at the moment.

Mercury: Feeling wondrously happy at the moment.

Francesco "Frankie" Giardini: He smiles to Capri, and looks back over to Tina, Mercury, and Joshua when Tina calls Mercury cousin. A moment's realization...oh, wow. After all this searching, has he just stepped into Glass Walker central finally?

Joshua [lupus]: *He finally stands up, and stretches, with a yawn and a snap of his jaw.* ~ws~ I shall go rest in the bawn. Work in the morning.

Florentina Larione: "G'night." She gives Joshua a wave and a soft smile.

Capri Sciarra: She watches Frankie for a long moment, but doesn't say anything else for the time being.

Mercury: He smiles to Joshua. A slight nod.

Joshua [lupus]: *He yawns, and whines, as he pads towards the bawn, his tail wagging slightly.*

Mercury: He looks to Capri with a pleasant smile and some curiosity. He knows she understood Joshua before, in regards to the pants, but beyond that he knows nothing of her.

Florentina Larione: Insert awkward pause. "So..."

Francesco "Frankie" Giardini: He looks after J for a moment, then shakes his head and looks back over to Capri. "So what do you do to keep yourself buys, Capri? Getting into the business like your mother?"

Mercury: Tina: "So," he repeats and grins. "So we've got to get you introduced around. I know a whole bunch of people, be glad to have you meet them."

Capri Sciarra: "Very much so....." she smiles.

Florentina Larione: "Yeah, that's a good plan. I really do need to get introduced around. Mama would want to make sure that I'm well taken care of."

Mercury: Tina: "You will be." He nods enthusastically. "Oh, hey, we should exchange numbers." Digging out his cell phone.

Florentina Larione: She tugs her cellphone from one of her cargo pants' pockets before looking over at him, her fingers working quickly on the keypad. "All right. Shoot."

Mercury: He gives her his number, both cell and home.

Florentina Larione: She gives him the same. "I'm not at home a lot, so it's best to call my cellphone."

Mercury: "Same here." He nods. "Or else I ignore the home phone. Most calls there are for Rei, not me."

Francesco "Frankie" Giardini: His expression quirks a bit, but stays polite and friendly. "That should be quite interesting for you. I look forward to working with the both of you."

Florentina Larione: "Since I just moved here, I'm still getting a feel for the city." She tucks the phone back into her pocket and stretches her legs out.

Mercury: "Yeah. At first, there's so much to do, it seems overwhelming."

Capri Sciarra: "We are very much looking forward to that."

Florentina Larione: "Yeah, but at least I'm already used to big cities. So, it's not too big of a change. But everything's just so..tall here."

Mercury: He chuckles. "I know. I was surprised at how different it was from L.A. Well, you know, you might take a walk down Millionaire Mile here in the park." Explaining a little better where it is. "There's a man named Simon Gentle you should really meet."

Florentina Larione: "Oh?" A mental note at the name and she looks mildly intrigued.

Mercury: "He'll *want* to meet you," he assures her.

Florentina Larione: "Who is he?" She starts making sure she has everything in her messenger bag.

Mercury: "Oh, um. He's someone who's in charge of certain things. You know. In the city. He makes sure the cockroaches don't get out of hand." Wolfish grins.

Mercury: ((grins=grin))

Florentina Larione: "Oh!" She nods with understanding and laughs. "Yeah, I'll definitely have to meet him soon."

Francesco "Frankie" Giardini: "Good." He slips his hand into his suit jacket, pulling out a card and handing it over to Capri. "My number, should you need to contact me."

Mercury: He chuckles also, running a hand back through his hair, his message understood.
