Christian Gallagher: Late night, and he's
still too full of club energy to go home and go to bed. So he makes his way into
Battery Park, just out to enjoy the air. He's got his leather jacket on over
jeans & T-Shirt...the T-Shirt reads "Wii-Tarded." He hums a little bit as he
heads along, generally toward Castle Clinton and the harbor.
Avery Woods (with Blue): She's out with
the blue wrinkled dog for a very late night walk, dressed very casually in a red
sweater, jeans and comfortable walking shoes, the dog walking along casually
with her. She's ocassionally nibbling on some dried berries that she has in a
resealable bag they came in.
Christian Gallagher: His eyes scan around,
and eventually fall upon Avery and Blue. He smiles a little bit and approaches
her, being as she's on his general path to tip of the island as it is.
"Evening."
Avery Woods (with Blue): ((Apologies
for that!)) She smiles a little bit when she's greeted. "Hello."
Christian Gallagher: ((No prob. :) )) He nods
to her. "Nice night out. Can almost see all of the stars." He looks up to the
sky. "Good night for a walk."
Avery Woods (with Blue): "Yes," she nods,
with a quick glance up, sticking the bag into her back pocket.
Christian Gallagher: "Sorry...I probably seem
a little wierd, just walking up and starting up conversation that way." He
smiles a bit and extends his hand. "Let's start again. Hi, I'm Christian."
Avery Woods (with Blue): "Not really I
guess. And I have gotten to know wierd a lot lately." She wipes her hand off on
her pants. "Berry sticky..." she apologizes, "I'm Avery," and offers her hand.
Avery Woods (with Blue): "Not really I
guess. And I have gotten to know wierd a lot lately." She wipes her hand off on
her pants. "Berry sticky..." she apologizes, "I'm Avery," and offers her hand.
Christian Gallagher: "Berry sticky is fine."
He shakes her hand with a small grin. "Pleasure to meet you, Avery."
Avery Woods (with Blue): "I have to wonder
what the chances are that you are the same Christian that is seeing Sha Sha,"
she decides to take a stab at the chance. Her own shake firm, with a roughness
to her hand.
Christian Gallagher: He smiles suddenly at
that and nods. "The chances, it seems, are surprisingly good. I would be that
Christian. You know Sha, huh? Very cool."
Avery Woods (with Blue): "Yes, I do. I
wouldn't say we're best friends or anything, but she's kinda a friend. I've
heard her talk a lot about you though, so it's nice to finally meet the love of
her life."
Christian Gallagher: His cheeks color a
little at that, and he smiles. "Oh...well, yeah. She is my best PR person, after
all." He chuckles and nods. "I'm blessed that I've got her, really."
Avery Woods (with Blue): "I'm really happy
for you two," she smiles softly. "She deserves it."
Christian Gallagher: "She does." He smiles
and nods. "And I'm glad she's happy. How long have you known her?"
Avery Woods (with Blue): "Maybe six
months? My mind is a bit blurry at times. Sometimes I don't remember too well.
Met her through my ex. Not sure if she ever mentioned him to you or not."
Christian Gallagher: "Could be. Who's your
ex?"
Avery Woods (with Blue): "Snyde." When
she says the name there is only the slightest hint of sadness, mostly though her
demeanor showing that she could care less at this point.
Christian Gallagher: He purses his lips, then
nods with a faint smile. Maybe sympathetic. "Ahh. Yeah, I know Snyde."
Avery Woods (with Blue): "Seems he had
quite the noteriety."
Christian Gallagher: He shrugs a little. "I
met Sha and Snyde while they were together...the tail-end of it, at least. Even
tried to help him with her a little. I don't know about any reputation he
had...just my personal experiences with him."
Avery Woods (with Blue): "He meant well,
just....." she shrugs, not sure what to say. "So yeah, you know why I say that
she deserves you," she smiles softly.
Christian Gallagher: "I know he did." He nods
a little bit. "And thank you. I appreciate the words."
Avery Woods (with Blue): "You're welcome.
And thanks too."
Christian Gallagher: "You're welcome." He
takes a deep breath and lets it out, then smiles to her. "So...I'm guessing
you're not a native New Yorker, though my instincts have been wrong before. Am I
right this time?"
Avery Woods (with Blue): "You're right. I
was born in German and traveled around some. Mostly consider myself from South
Carolina now. Yourself?"
Christian Gallagher: He points off in the
direction of Staten Island. "Born and raised. New Yorker for life, through and
through." He grins a little. "I try to suppress the asshole gene that comes with
it, thouh."
Avery Woods (with Blue): "I don't get that
you are one or ever have been, despite being from New York. My uncle was a
Native and far from being oen either,' she smiles softly.
Christian Gallagher: "Well, I've had my
moments...but I try to stay free of it." The grin widens into a full smile. "It
seems like you've managed to avoid catching it too, thus far. It is a contagious
gene, I've found. However that works."
Avery Woods (with Blue): "I'm not so
sure about that. I suppose it depends on my mood mostly. I'm not exactly the
most friendly person either."
Christian Gallagher: "Well, we all have
periods of being less-then-friendly. But based off all the empirical evidence,
I've seen, you're asshole-gene-free. And I'll keep with that until I see
otherwise."
Avery Woods (with Blue): "Why thank you.
Give me a few more months though," she says half-kiddingly, half-serious.
Christian Gallagher: "If you can make it that
few more months, you should be good." He grins a little. "Aside from the
occasional bout with it, you'll have built up your immunity to it."
Avery Woods (with Blue): "Maybe....though
no promises."
Christian Gallagher: "It's a deal." He
smiles. "So, what do you do for a living?"
Avery Woods (with Blue): "I'm a
mechanic. Cars and motorcycles. But I'm going to be going to school in the
spring. Computer engineering."
Christian Gallagher: "Oh, nice." She nods at
that. "I've been learning a bit of computer stuff, mostly in terms of audio
mixing and the like."
Avery Woods (with Blue): "Probably
wouldn't be too hard for me to figure that out actually. Bet if you had
questions about it, I could help. When I'm in my good mood phase of course."
Christian Gallagher: "Oh, of course." He
smiles and nods. "I'd appreciate it. I'm starting to figure it out, but I'm not
a computer expert, just moderately competant."
Avery Woods (with Blue): She digs around
her pocket and pulls out a card for Excel Motors, then finding a pen writes down
a cell number. "Here you go. Just don't go passing the number around...though I
doubt you would. If you want some help, just give me a call sometime."
Christian Gallagher: He takes the card with a
smile. "Awesome...thanks." He pulls out his own card and hands it over. "I doubt
you'd have too much need for a DJ...but if you ever want to do something, gimme
a call. Be happy to hang out."
Avery Woods (with Blue): "Thanks," she
smiles a little, taking his card. "Not sure how exciting I'd be to hang out
with. I need to avoid clubs and smoking and all that right now that goes with
your scene, but I'll keep it in mind." She starts to yawn, "I need to get some
rest actually before I collapse."
Christian Gallagher: He nods. "Yeah, me,
too. But it's been great meeting you. I'll see you later, okay?"
Avery Woods (with Blue): "Sure. Have a
good evening, Christian. Glad I finally got to meet you. Tell Sha I said hi?"
The dog starts to wake up as he can tell she's ready to go, getting up, yawning
and shaking himself off.
Christian Gallagher: "Will do. Good night."
He smiles and nods, turning to make his way out of the park.
Avery Woods (with Blue): She heads on out,
taking her time, as she goes back nibbling some on the berries again.
Christian Gallagher: ((Thanks for the
scene!))
Avery Woods (with Blue): ((Thank you too!))
