Ethan Anderson : Ethan moves along at Aerin's side, more relaxed then the man has seen him in the last three days and likely for good reason. He's dressed comfortably in a clean pair of jeans and soft blue sweater beneath an open black peacoat. His blond hair is pulled back into a tight braid, leaving the strong, masculine plains of his face bared to the eye and revealing the tiny hoops that spiral up each ear.

Aerin Thomas: He waks along with Ethan, cigarette in his hand, looking around the area. Instinctual paranoia coming into play...anyone can be here in Battery, and often is. Otherwise, he's calm, relaxed as he walks along with the young man, close by his side.

Ethan Anderson : "Looks like it might rain," he says, leaning, briefly towards Aerin until their arms brush, his smile almost shy as he glances up at the other. "We'll get soaked."

Aerin Thomas: "Nothing wrong with a little rain," he says, looking up at the sky. His hand comes out to brush over Ethan's after their arms meet. His gaze upward is wistful. "Used to rain in Oregon all the time."

Ethan Anderson : "Chanook too," he says, fingers touching and then falling away, only to return and settle against Aerin's palm in a precarious not-quite-hold. He glances towards the ground, scuffing his booted foot lightly against the grass. "This is...Weird," he says with a sudden grin.

Aerin Thomas: "Yeah, it really is," he agrees, sighing a bit and looking over to him. "But...not in a bad way, right? Not entirely, at least."

Ethan Anderson : "Not in a bad way, no. Okay, so some of it is a little...Y'know but..." He pauses and bites his lower lip a second. "I'm out. In the park. Holding hands. Kinda. With the man I love..."

Aerin Thomas: "Yeah." He leans into Ethan a little bit, smiling slightly, and then away to take a drag of his cigarette. "There's definitely worse things that could be happening right now."

Ethan Anderson : The kin stumbles slightly, playfully at the lean before straightening and flicking his eyes around the park. "You thirsty?"

Aerin Thomas: "Yeah...yeah, something to drink would be nice, I think." He looks around for a vendor. "What do you feel like?"

Ethan Anderson : "Probably stupid of me...But coffee. Might actually help me sleep tonight," he suggests, finally lacing his fingers with Aerin's. He points with his free hand. "That a coffee one or a hot dog..." he pauses, shuddering. "One?"

Aerin Thomas: He looks up, squinting. "That would be coffee. Come on." he starts off in that direction, leading Ethan forward. The cigarette cherry is flicked out and the butt tossed in a garbage can on the way.

Ethan Anderson : "So. After this we head home right? We grabbed my stuff from the apartment and Ita'll probably be out like a light so I won't feel too funny for having stolen you all night."

Aerin Thomas: "Sure, if you want." He nods a little bit. "Home would be nice...little nervous, out here in the open right now. Oh," he says as a side note, almost blandly. "I called Adrian."

Ethan Anderson : He gives Aerin's hand a tug and sighs. "Y-y-yeah?" And then he sighs again as the stuttering starts. "Wh-what'd he have to say?" A pause. "An-nd you're nervous cause you're nervous n-n...not cause we're holding hands in public. Right?"

Aerin Thomas: "Yes, Ethan. I'm nervous because I'm nervous. That's all." He gives Ethan a smile. "He said he was bad in his wording...he meant if I went after him, then he'd kill us both. As if that made everything better. And if that didn't clear things up, his prison record did." He frowns, shaking his head. "You don't want to know. Trust me."

Ethan Anderson : "You're right. I don't," he says softly, shivering suddenly. He gently eases his hand from Aerin's and wraps both arms around himself as if that'll stop the shuddering.

Aerin Thomas: "Hey." He stops and turns to look at Ethan, both hands coming to the kin's shoulders and turning him gently to face him. "Look at me. Nothing here is your fault, okay? All right?"

Ethan Anderson : "I tr-t-trusted him. That's what scares me...That I let him into my life. I told him things about me." He snorts. "H-hell, he coached me through my first time...told me how to do it so it wouldn't rip me apart."

Aerin Thomas: His jaw pulses, teeth clenched, but he nods, staying calm. It's not Ethan he's mad at. "A lot of people trusted him, Ethan. A lot of people still do. Which is why I'm going to deal with the problem directly."

Ethan Anderson : "I'm just scared." he shrugs and sighs. "He's always made me uneasy but I've n-n-never been afraid of him before. Not really. Its cause he said he'd kill you. That just..."

Aerin Thomas: "I know." He nods a little, leaning forward and kissing Ethan's forehead. "It's okay, hon. I've faced down much tougher then him, and I'm still here. And I have a plan, and he's buying into it. I've got it under control."

Ethan Anderson : He nods slowly and leans up to kiss Aerin lightly and briefly on the lips. "Lets go home..."

Aerin Thomas: He returns the kiss and nods. "Yeah. Home is good." Forget the coffee. He slips his arm around Ethan's waist and heads off, out of the park and toward the car.
