Laidan [lupus]: She makes a small little circle, as if keeping her cubs safe, and then settles by Eddie and the kids. Her tail wags slowly as she listens and smelles all the good things within the snack bag.

Eddie (and the kids): see, guys? she likes getting pets. *chuckles softly and blinks, giving Am a wide grin--he's already laying out the blanket* it's a nice, peaceful kinda night....

Eddie (and the kids): see, guys? she likes getting pets. *chuckles softly and blinks, giving Am a wide grin--he's already laying out the blanket* it's a nice, peaceful kinda night....

Eddie (and the kids): ((mmrr????)) *giggles* Elle's hungry, i think...*Sal immediately gets a quarter of a ham sammich from the snackbag, holding it by a corner in front of Lai's nose*

Laidan [lupus]: She wuiggles forward, and then very delictely takes the sandwhich from Sal. She wiggles back a bit, and begins to eat the sandwhich happily.

Eddie (and the kids): *the baby giggles and holds out a chubby hand for sammich. Sal suppiles, after a glance to Eddie* dig in, guys.

Laidan [lupus]: Sandwhich? What sandwhich? Done with her treat, she rolls to lay on her side, gently resting against Eddie where she lays.

Eddie (and the kids): *ruffles her ears lightly, then settles the baby into her lap to help her eat* we're gonna be trying to learn to catch a ball later.

Laidan [lupus]: ~ws~ "What kind of ball?" She was never very good with that game, being blind and all. But she was curious though.

Eddie (and the kids): softball! *chuckles* check it out. *from her bag comes the ball, set against Lai's paw for snuffing over*

Laidan [lupus]: Snuff it over, she does. Purposely exagerating the noises to amuse the kids, and pushing it around a little bit, before she rooooollls it back to Eddie with her nose. And flops again. ~ws~ "It smells like a very good ball."

Eddie (and the kids): *Sal giggles softly, feeding Zeke a peach slice* it's a really good ball, yeah. wanna mandarin orange? *offers one to the wolf cheerfully. while Miette happily smears most of a fig newton over her little face*

Laidan [lupus]: ~ws~ "Is it like a normal orange?" She asks, sniffing at the fruit before, again, she delicately takes it from Eddie's fingers and swallows it in one gulp.

Eddie (and the kids): *giggles* i dunno--i've only ever seen 'em canned. *smoothes Lai's head gently* oy, Miette here's making a huge mess. *giggles and tries to get what's left of the newton into the child's mouth*

Laidan [lupus]: ~ws~ "Is she eating messy again?" The metis asks curiously, settling her head back down. Her tail continues to slowly wag, obviously at ease.

Eddie (and the kids): *nods, laughing* yeah, like usual. *her tone nothing but fondly amused* oh, hey--Sal, here. brought this for you, special! *offers the girl a peanut bar* you really seemed to like the one you tried the other night...*hesitantly, the child takes the treat, murmuring a soft thanks*

Laidan [lupus]: Her tail thumps more, pleased. ~ws~ "Are they adjusting a little better?"

Eddie (and the kids): seems so. *her sigh is a bit sad, though*

Laidan [lupus]: ~ws~ "It's going to take a very long time, isn't it?" She gently nuzzles the woman next to her.

Eddie (and the kids): *scritches Lai's ruff* yeah, it is. but it's worth it. *tone soft. solemn and hopeful.*

Laidan [lupus]: ~ws~ "I agree. You're a very good person Eddie."

Troy Lawrence: The man makes his way into Central Park, his expression a stern frown. The young Alpha is dressed in his usual work outfit...a well-tailored power suit, dark against the white shirt underneath. Perfectly maintained as always...blond hair perfect, nails carefully manicured, and so on. The only marring feature is that frown, as he makes his way though the gate and toward the paths.

Eddie (and the kids): *blushes, giving a soft, embaressed snort* who wouldn't want to help?

Laidan [lupus]: d10: per+alert: 8,7,9,9,3,9,1,

Eddie (and the kids): *giggles softly at the baby* finished for now, sweetie? ok--let's get you cleaned up! *off goes the bib that seems to be a permanent part of her attire. and the little face gets held by a gentle hand while she reaches for the wet wipes*

Laidan [lupus]: ~ws~ "Too many pepole." Her head lifts at a sound and a smelle, turning her head towards Troy. "Alpha is coming. I will be right back, I am going to go into homid."

Eddie (and the kids): *nods, giving the wolf a hug as the littlest squirms slightly--wet wipes are cold!* ok, hun! *and looks about for Troy*

Eddie (and the kids): d10: looking: 3,6,7,3,8,6,

Troy Lawrence: d10: Per+Alertness: 4,3,2,10,

Eddie (and the kids): *waves to Troy and calls out* Troy! heya! *finishing the cleaning process. Miette sneezes* oops, sorry, sweetie. *chuckles softly, wiping the child's nose and cuddling her closer*

Laidan: She disappears, and this returns as a human! Yay!

Troy Lawrence: He looks up at the shout, eyes flicking sharply over to Eddie. He looks her over, then nods, expression calm, and makes his way to them. "Eddie," he greets the others. His eyes pass over the children with something akin to hesitance. "Good evening."

Eddie (and the kids): *grins to the woman* heya again, Laidan. *chuckles softly. the older kids murmur quiet greetings*

Laidan: "Hello Eddie, hello Troy." She smiles up to the man, and then settles back down next to the kids and Eddie.

Eddie (and the kids): hey, Troy, 'sup? glad yer here--i wanted you to meet the gang. have a seat--we've got plenty of blanket. ditto snacks. this is Miette, Zeke, Sal, and Amador. *MIette gives him wide eyes before pressing her face against Eddie's chest. Zeke looks down at the blanket. the older pair nod respectfully, glancing up once to see him, then properly down again*

Troy Lawrence: "Laidan." A short nod of greeting to the metis. He remains standing, quietly observing his packmates, hands folding behind his back. "How is everyone today?" A ghost of a smile hits his face.

Sadie Blackfoot: She walks into the park, for the first time in a long time without a hood or other disguise. If she's arrested, so be it.

Eddie (and kids): (*smacks the site that won't let her POST!!*))

Laidan: Hearing all the children look down, she starts making her fingers 'crawl' across the blanket. Trying to amuse at least little Zeke while he's staring down, even as her head tilts up to Troy. "I am doing alright. And yourself?"

Troy Lawrence: "Miette. Zeke. Sal. Amador." Each of them get nods of greeting, formal ones. Yes, even the infant.

Eddie (and kids): *Eddie grins widely* good! *Sal murmurs softly* very well, m'L--sir. *almost cringing at her near error*

Sadie Blackfoot: She's a tall, stately women, dressed in concealing garments although today she's lacking the usual high color and the scars on either side of her neck are visible.

Eddie (and kids): *the younger boy's head tracks the moving fingers, althugh he doesn't look up. Miette chortles and tries to touch the wiggling fingers* it's nice to meet you, sir. *from Amador, his voice soft and filled with wary respect*

Eddie (and kids): d10: looking: 6,8,7,6,8,1,

Sadie Blackfoot: ((High collar, oooh, it's going to be a bad spelling night, I can tell already.))

Laidan: d10: per+alert: 9,8,1,8,9,6,6,

Eddie (and kids): *dual eyes fasten onto Sadie calmly, her arm curling more protectively around Miette for just a moment*

Laidan: Oh, she knows Sadie is there. Her head glances up briefly, and then goes back to wiggling fingers to amuse the little ones. And a wiggle of toes to amuse too.

Troy Lawrence: d10: Per+Alertness: 2,1,4,2,

Troy Lawrence: He nods movement, and turns his head...smacking face-first into a branch, and falling backwards, unceremoniously, on his ass.

Laidan: ((Troy pulled a Laidan!))

Sadie Blackfoot: d10: per/alert: 4,3,9,7,1,

Eddie (and kids): *winces* ow. you ok, Troy?

Troy Lawrence: d10: Willpower: 5,8,10,9,7,

Laidan: Her head snaps as Troy just... falls. But she knows that smacking noise all too well. "Are.... are you alright Troy?"

Sadie Blackfoot: She might have missed the little group if it weren't for Troy wrestling with the tree, she looks towards the sound and makes a point of not grinning as she walks over.

Troy Lawrence: He blinks a couple times, face flushed, and scrambles to his feet. The power suit is all muddy now, and he's completely flustered. "I'm...fine, yes." He clears his throat, uncomfortably, and tries to adjust the suit, let it fit better, give him some of his dignity back.

Eddie (and kids): *the kids look shocked. as if they've never seen a True-Born be anything other than in utter control of every situation. they do NOT stare, looking firmly away after the sound makes them look his way*

Eddie (and kids): *offers him a juice bottle* here. make ya feel better. um...i got some wipes if ya want 'em?

Sadie Blackfoot: Her eyes travel over Troy's muddied suit. "Good evening, Mr. Lawrence."

Laidan: She starts to crawl her fingers again to distract the kids away from Troy.

Sadie Blackfoot: She flicks a look towards the others, then the children.

Eddie (and kids): *all four gratefully accept the distraction. Sal adds to it by gingerly rolling the softball to Lai's hand*

Eddie (and kids): *gives Sadie a halfsmile and a nod, the youngest child curled up in her arms*

Troy Lawrence: He waves away the juice bottle. "Er...no, Eddie, thank you. Wipes will not help..." He looks over his shoulder, and his mud-drenched suit. "...this." He sighs, and rubs at the quickly-disappearing red mark on his face, irritation showing in his expression.

Laidan: Fingers gently catch the ball. For a moment, her fingers run over the ball, and then it's very gently rolle to Zeke. Playing with them, and keeping them amused.

Troy Lawrence: He looks over at Sadie...oh. Beautiful. Another person to have seen his gaffe. He straightens, trying to compose himself and pretend he's not covered in mud and looking like a fucking idiot. "Miss Blackfoot. Good evening."

Sadie Blackfoot: A nod to Eddie.

Eddie (and kids): ai'ight. *agrees calmly. Zeke looks at the ball bumping his hand. and very slowly rolls it to Sal, who sends it back to Lai*

Sadie Blackfoot: She tactfully ignores Troy's muddied condition. He's seen her dressed in other people's blood afterall, and was kind enough not to ask difficult questions. "Ms. Laidan, isn't it?"

Eddie (and kids): mmmm, we got a house, did i tell ya? *tilts her head at Troy cheerfully* ain't moved in yet, though. need ta find a moving company what doesn't want your soul as collateral.

Laidan: She keeps up this game with the kids, sometimes it goes to Sal, sometimes to Zeke. Sometimes it takes her a few seconds to FIND the ball. But she keeps them amused, wiggling fingers now and then.

Laidan: "Yes, Ms. Blackfoot." She murmurs in response.

Eddie (and kids): *the baby slowly lets Eddie's shirt go and eases over to Lai, inch by inch*

Troy Lawrence: He nods to Eddie, withdrawing a cigarette case from inside his suitcoat. "Excellent. I am still researching the non-profit information. I hope to have the information for you soon."

Eddie (and kids): d'oh! i apologize. gang, this's Miss Saide. Sadie, here's Miette, Zeke, Sal, and Amador. *pointing to each kid in turn. Miette blinks at her curiously. Zeke keeps his head down. the older pair glance up, then down, nodding with soft, respectful greetings*

Laidan: And Miette is gently drawn into the game as well. If she wants, she can sit in Lai's lap, and Lai will help her push the ball.

Eddie (and kids): *beams at him* totally awesome! *laughs softly*ya know what else occurred to me, though? ain't nobody gonna believe i gave birth to these awesome guys. *looking over 'her' kids with somethign fiercely loving. protective*

Eddie (and kids): *Miette seems to think sitting in Lai's lap is a good thing. although this whole ball-pushing business is a bit more difficult to master*

Sadie Blackfoot: She watches the children a long moment, considering her own two children, face expressionless.

Eddie (and kids): *they're very quiet kids. far too well-behaved to be normal*

Troy Lawrence: "And that is a problem why?" He tilts his head to the side. "That is why we were doing the non-profit organization, was it now?"

Laidan: It's okay. Lai is there to help her, drawing all the kids in with the quiet game. Amusing them, and smiling gently as she plays.

Eddie (and kids): *grins* it's not. it's just kinda funny. *touches Zeke's hair with gentle fingers* can you just imagine a family photo of all of us? *chuckles. the kids play solemnly. as if doing it by rote. as if they don't really understand how to just play*

Sadie Blackfoot: Oh, she recognizes the signs of abuse. The fear of authority, of making even a tiny mistake, of being too loud, too happy, too anything. She sees it in her own children to a far worse extent. It makes her want to kill things.

Eddie (and kids): *Miette seems to wonder if softballs are tasty*

Eddie (and kids): *glances to Sadie, pretty face growing hard for a moment. eyes anguished. a tiny nod, touching Zeke's hair again, gently*

Sadie Blackfoot: A quiet if belated hello is finally spoken to the children.

Laidan: Lai makes those skittery fingers again, as if putting on a show. The ball 'runs' over her fingers and squishes them. And then her fingers get back up again, and poke the ball. And send it to one of the others. A little show with the game.

Troy Lawrence: He nods a little, hands folding behind hsii back again...and finding mud. His eye twitches, and he brings the hands around to the front, now spotted with the stuff. More mess, on him. Another eye twitch.

Eddie (and kids): *the older pair nod soberly back to the lady. Zeke sneaks up a glance at Sadie and Troy. Miette simply blinks wide blue eyes*

Eddie (and kids): *Sal almost giggles at the sight of Lai's game. Miette does. Eddie quietly holds out a clean wetwipe to Troy*

Laidan: She smiles a little as Sal half giggles. And involves both hands in the game. Like a finger puppet show almost. She obviously adores these kids, caught up with them.

Eddie (and kids): *Miette cuddles, poking the ball now and again. Eddie chuckles softly, watching. and Sal grins, poking the ball a bit more boldly back to Lai*

Troy Lawrence: He presses his lips together, and takes the wet wipe from Eddie, opening it and running it over his hands, cleaning them up as best he can.

Eddie (and kids): *unobtrusively makes sure the trash bag is open* so, whatcha been up to lately, Troy, Sadie?

Troy Lawrence: "Work, primarily. A job that is never quite done. And looking into a potential situation."

Laidan: Lai settles Miette in her lap easily, making her comfortable, as she keeps up with her show and the rolling of the ball. Sometimes her toes wiggle too as part of it all.

Troy Lawrence: The wet wipe is discreetly thrown into the trash bag. The hands aren't totally clean, but they're not a total mess, either.

Eddie (and kids): mmm...*nods slowly* situation? *cocks a brow at him, joining in the game for a moment*

Sadie Blackfoot: Her eyes drift over the children. Hers don't giggle, the youngest doesn't even speak. She takes a breath as if to say something, hesitates... "Well, it was nice seeing you all again, have a good evening."

Eddie (and kids): *Miette is a world-class snuggler, and proves it*

Laidan: "Good night Ms. Blackfoot."

Eddie (and kids): *nods to Sadie* you have any ideas on how to...teach these guys, Sadie, lemme know. *softly*

Sadie Blackfoot: She starts to move past the group then pauses, looking back at Eddie. "You seem to be doing a fine job."

Eddie (and kids): *blushes slightly and gives Sadie a half-shrug* how could i do less than try my best? *quietly*

Troy Lawrence: "Yes. A situation involving an artist, and particularly interesting paintings of his." He looks over to Sadie, brow raised slightly. He's curious, but he says nothing...it wouldn't be proper. "Miss Blackfoot. Perhaps we can speak with each other at some time, regarding certain the continuation of our business relationship."

Laidan: She glances up, briefly, but then turns her focused back onto the kids.

Troy Lawrence: ((Minus the "certain"))

Sadie Blackfoot: "If... if you need a tutor or help with them, I've home schooled children before." It almost seems like another lifetime ago.

Eddie (and kids): well, if i can assist, lemme know, dude. *grins to Troy* mmm...think we need to get home, too. *soft chuckle* gotta do the bed and bedtime story thing soon, right guys? *Sal and Am begin to put up the remains of the snack*

Eddie (and kids): *nods to Sadie* that'd be cool--non of them knows how to read yet.

Sadie Blackfoot: Troy> "Certainly, when would be convenient for you?"

Troy Lawrence: Dude? He looks to Eddie, blinking, before realizing the woman meant him. "Oh. Yes, I expect we will all be getting involved at some point."

Eddie (and kids): *nods cheerfully to Troy* all right, then. hey, Lai--ya wanna come with and hear the story, too? *chuckles softly and gives Troy a twinkling grin* somehow, i dun think you really care all that much about the Arabian Nights....

Sadie Blackfoot: She pulls a card from inside her coat and passes it to Eddie, there's no name on it, just a phone number. "Let me know, if you want to arrange something."

Laidan: "Of course." She says warmly to Eddie, gently handing the ball over to be packed away as she cradles little Miette.

Eddie (and kids): *takes the card and nods* thanks, i will! *grins to Sadie as she tucks the card away* hey, Sal--Zeke looks kinda sleepy. i'll carry him home, if you'll carry Miette? *tilts her head at the girl*

Eddie (and kids): *chuckles softly* unless you wanna carry her home, Laidan. *Am packs up the ball and quietly waits for the blanket to be emptied of people so it can be folded. Eddie gently hoists the younger boy, holding him close. Sal seems...a bit anxious. almsot hovering*

Troy Lawrence: "I should be available over the next few days." He looks from Sadie to Eddie, his expression that unchanging, stern look. "No...I am not quite interested in tales of fancy, Eddie. Thank you for the offer, though."

Laidan: She nods, holding Miette, and gently rises while she tucks the girl under her chin.

Eddie (and kids): *Zeke's arms slowly go around Eddie's neck. Miette seems more inclined to stay attached to Laidan. Eddie nods to Troy with a soft chuckle* ah, but tales of fancy often hide truisms inside. you be safe, though, ai'ight? welcome to drop by whenever.

Eddie (and kids): *Am folds up the blanket while Sal snags the snackbag and Eddie's duffel. the trash bag goes in the nearest trash can. she keeps an eye on Zeke, though*

Sadie Blackfoot: Watches the little troupe gather themselves before she addresses Troy again. "I'm free this evening if you wish to get cleaned up and meet somewhere, or tomorrow evening if that suits you better."

Laidan: "You know my number." She nods to Troy, murmuring faintly as she half rocks little baby Miette.

Troy Lawrence: "Safety is not an option, some times. I will do my best, though. Good day, Eddie. Laidan." He looks over the children. "Children."

Laidan: "Good night Troy."

Eddie (and kids): *the older pair murmurs respectful farewells to the man and Sadie* good enough, then. be safe, Sadie. all right--everyone ready to head out?

Troy Lawrence: A glance to Sadie, and he nods. "I can attempt to clean up, and will contact you if I am ready tonight. Would that be acceptable?"

Sadie Blackfoot: "Good night," she offers the children in a gentle tone.

Sadie Blackfoot: Troy> "Quite."

Laidan: She continues to slowly rock Miette as she waits to move with the others, a soft smile on her face.

Eddie (and kids): *Sal gives her a hint of a smile. she and Am murmur their readiness*

Eddie (and kids): *grins* ok--let's go! *and heads off, singing--heaven help you all--"We're Off to See the Wizard"*

Troy Lawrence: He inclines his head to Sadie. "Excellent. Them if you will excuse me, I will go...clean up." He turns, making his way toward the Gates. He's squishing, in his shoes, and it has him ever so much more frustrated, as he walks along. What a day.

Eddie (and kids): ((*hugs all around* thanks, folks. *G* adn good night........))

Laidan: A soft chuckle and she follows after Eddie

Sadie Blackfoot: ((Night everyone.))

Sadie Blackfoot: Sadie heads further into the park.

Troy Lawrence: ((Thanks, all!))
