Joshua Coil [lupus]: *The black dog noses his way out of the room, with a slight huff.*

Reyna Varinia Reiruno: She's passed out on that same couch that she flopped down on last night. Quite possibly, she didn't move since then. Okay, doubtful, but possible. She's curles slightly on her side, facing away from the back of the couch.

Laidan: It... had been really hard to find the apartment. Even WITH what Joshua told her. She'd never been in this part of town before, and to top it off, it was cold again. This meant she had to wear pants and long sleeved shirts instead of her dresses. Rubbing her nose a little bit, plastic bags dangled from each hand filled with food. She didn't know what the kin liked, but she knew what Josh and Reyna did. A hesitation, and after counting carefully, she rapped lightly on one of the doors.

Joshua Coil [lupus]: *He looks up, and snorts. Dammit. He pokes Reyna in the arm.* ~ws~ Get door for me, lazy coyote.

Reyna Varinia Reiruno: She starts, stright up into a sitting position, as Joshua pokes her. "Whassahereadam?" She blinks, looking around...oh, yeah, apartment. And Joshua. She looks at him for a moment, letting the sleep fade out of her eyes. "Ummm...coming," she calls do the door.

Laidan: She relaxes, just a little bit. Reyna's voice.

Joshua Coil [lupus]: *He lets out a slight whine, as he tries to comprehend exactly WHAT she just said.*

Reyna Varinia Reiruno: Whatever she said, it's not something she's worrying about, from the looks of her. She leans down, scratching around Joshua's neck, before she rises and heads to the door, grabbing Harry on the way. She checks the peephole and grins.

Reyna Varinia Reiruno: The door is opened as Harry is put away. "Hey, Laidan. C'mon in, hon...how are you?"

Joshua Coil [lupus]: *Oooh... skritchy... no, wait, don't stop! He plods over to the door as well, and peers around. Well rested, and ready to bite.*

Laidan: Yes. Reyna and Josh. She slips in, very carefully, as she doesn't know this place. She smiles a little and holds up the bags. "I brought food. But it's cold now, because I got a little lost. And I didn't know what Ashlyn would like..."

Joshua Coil [lupus]: ~ws~ She is asleep right now. Food?

Laidan: "Steak and chinese." She answers the wolf near her feet.

Reyna Varinia Reiruno: "You...are awesome, hon." She smiles and shuts the door.

Laidan: She smiles, a little shyly, to Reyna, and offers her the very full bags. She brought a lot.

Joshua Coil [lupus]: *He sniffs, floppy ears swiveling back to the side of his head.* ~ws~ I agree with her.

Reyna Varinia Reiruno: She takes the bags from Laidan and guides the Fianna over to the couch to have a seat. "I'll heat it up, and get to divvying."

Laidan: She smiles to Reyna, but quietly protests the leading to instead drop to the floor, and give her packmate a thourogh scritching. She hadn't see him in far too long.

Joshua Coil [lupus]: *He cuddles up with her, clearly fond.* ~ws~ I am sorry I have not been there as much as I should. I have been busy.

Reyna Varinia Reiruno: Ahh, whatever works. She grins, watching them, and heads into the kitchen to heat up the food.

Laidan: She presses a kiss to his head. "I've been busy too. So there is no apology needed, I'm just happy to see you."

Joshua Coil [lupus]: *He rubs the top of his head under her chin with a slight rowl noise.*

Reyna Varinia Reiruno: The sounds of microwave beeps come from the kitchen. "Anything to drink, peeps? Coffee's on, of course..."

Joshua Coil [lupus]: ~ws~ Just coffee! *He barks back, before remembering she can't understand him.*

Laidan: She rumbles quietly in her chest as he rubs under chin, wrapping arms around him affectionately. "Water, please..."

Reyna Varinia Reiruno: "Aight!" She moves around the ktichen, getting food, coffee, and water good to go.

Joshua Coil [lupus]: ~ws~ I'll go get my skin on, *he offers to Laidan.* ~ws~ Be right back. *And he plods into his own bedroom.*

Laidan: She releases Josh and happily remains sitting right there on the floor, smiling a little more than when she came in. "Do you want help Reyna?"

Reyna Varinia Reiruno: "I'm good I think, hon. Thanks, though." The sound of a thud, and something cursed under Reyna's breath, before she speaks cheerily again. "How are you doin'?"

Laidan: She laughs very softly, tilting her head towards Reyna. "I'm better now. What about you?"

Reyna Varinia Reiruno: "You know me. Crazy coyote..."

Laidan: She tilts her head a little more. She does know Reyna, enough to know they'd have to talk at some point. "Mmm."

Reyna Varinia Reiruno: She comes out with a glass of water and a cup of coffee. The water is handed over to Laidan, the coffee put on the cofeee table. "What've you been up to?"

Joshua Coil: *He steps out of his bedroom, and rolls his shoulders, gritted teeth.*

Laidan: She takes the cup, finally rising up off the floor. "Helping Kaeleigh, helping with the kids, helping resolve an issue, and trying to find a just changed Fianna Ahroun cub. Oh, and helping you guys a little bit with this killer thing. You?"

Reyna Varinia Reiruno: "Finding the killer, doin' my usual rounds, doin' guard duty." She looks over at Joshua, then smiles back at Laidan. "Well, at least you're keepin' busy, right?"

Laidan: She turns an ear to Josh for a moment, smiling to him before looking back to Reyna with a little nod. "Yeah..."

Joshua Coil: I need to go work out sometime this week. Getting cramped easily.

Reyna Varinia Reiruno: "Your coffee's on the coffee table, Josh." She nods to him, then heads back into the kitchen to get the food divvied out.

Joshua Coil: *He looks up faintly, and sniffs.* Sorry. Interrupted? Smells good.

Laidan: "If you have the girls clothes, I may be able to get a scent, and we could take a run around the city to see if anything pops up." She says softly to Josh.

Joshua Coil: *He looks back to Laidan.* That's a good idea. think I saved them.

Reyna Varinia Reiruno: "Perfect. Tracking through the cab company's been beyond worthless," comes the voice from the kitchen.

Laidan: "Good." She murmurs, tilting her head. "We can always head towards where the cab are kept and sniff around those too."

Laidan -> Reyna Varinia Reiruno: d10: per+emp: 2,7,3,10,7,5,6,

Joshua Coil: And then we make with the ass-kicking. And it will be good, *he says, and raises his coffee cup in a pseudo-toast, before drinking.*

Reyna Varinia Reiruno -> Laidan: Totally emotionally messed up right now...kind of wierd around Joshua right now...sort of a "ain't no point in tryin' there" vibe from her. She's happy to be staying here, and having a place to live, and really likes the fact that she can help keep watch, but it's kind of a flashback to being the third person in a wierd sort of triangle again.

Laidan: "Yes." She says softly, holding her glass as if pondering something. She finally shakes her head a bit, and then slides off her shoes. Bah. She disliked shoes

Reyna Varinia Reiruno: Finally, out she comes with plates of food. "A'ight, peeps. Chow's on."

Laidan: She smiles to Reyna, still holding her glass. "Thank you Reyna."

Joshua Coil: *He licks his lips.* Nono... thank YOU for bringing it, Laidan. Thank you... for preparing it as well, Miss Reyna.

Reyna Varinia Reiruno: "What he said on that first bit," she grins to Laidan. "And you're welcome, Josh." She hands over the plates, then goes back to the kitchen for her own.

Laidan: She takes her plate carefully, pondering for a second, and then settles back onto the floor. It's as good a place any. A little smile, ducking her head. "You're welcome."

Joshua Coil: *He takes it, of course. Staaaaarving...*

Reyna Varinia Reiruno: She comes back out with her plate, taking a lean on the wall and starting to eat. "So, what's on our agenda tonight?"

Laidan: "Eating, I think." She tilts blind eyes towards Reyna's voice with a little smile before she takes a bite of her food.

Joshua Coil: I thought eating, then attempting to think. *He nods once, and digs in savagely.*

Reyna Varinia Reiruno: "Ahh. Master planners, we are." She chuckles. "Myself included in there, of course. I hadn't thought past eating either."

Laidan: "So the plan is to eat, and then plan." She nods agreeably, with that little smile.

Reyna Varinia Reiruno: "B-E-A-Utiful."

Joshua Coil: Maybe eat some more, but yeah. *He nods, and almost smiles.*

Laidan: She chuckles softly, and then moves to attack her plate and food.

Reyna Varinia Reiruno: She chuckles and eats quickly, in her lean against the wall. No bothering with the chopsticks tonight...just a good ol' fork.

Laidan: You always can tell a meal is good when there's silence. Or at least just eating noises.

Reyna Varinia Reiruno: Once done, she takes her plate into the kitchen, rinsing and setting it in the sink. She comes back out to collect Joshua and Laidan's, when they're done...and of course, not a moment before. She wants to keep both her hands, thank you.

Laidan: She leaves a clean plate. The metis who once barely got any food does not waste food now. She smiles to Reyna as she takes it. "Thank you..."

Reyna Varinia Reiruno: "You're welcome, hon." She smiles to Laidan with a little shrug.

Joshua Coil: *She only getsh is plate when he's done licking it off, THANK you very much.*

Reyna Varinia Reiruno: Once the plate is licked and handed over, she takes them into the kitchen. More rinsings and settings.

Laidan: "Do you need help Reyna?" She offers from the floor again.

Reyna Varinia Reiruno: "Naah, I got it," she calls out. "Thanks, though. I'm trying to practice my domesticated act. How's it turning out?"

Laidan: "I don't know, I can't see." She grins a little bit. "Plus, I don't know what domesticated is. For all I know, domesticated involves dancing with the plates to dry them."

Reyna Varinia Reiruno: "Oooh, there's an idea!" She laughs a little. "Domesticated, as in, homebody. Ummm...help me out here, Josh, I ain't good with this particular concept."

Joshua Coil: *He doesn't move to help. He just did the dishes yesterday. He sits on the couch, one leg over the other, sipping his coffee.*

Joshua Coil: Domesticated, as in you pee outside and do tricks, *he offers.*

Laidan: "... wait, what?" She turns blind eyes to Joshua, now completely confused. "... she's doing tricks in the kicthen?"

Joshua Coil: Stay, Reyna. THAT'S a good girl. *He tries not to smile.*

Reyna Varinia Reiruno: The laughter from the ktichen gets a little louder.

Laidan: She may be blind, but her eyes get round anyway. He did not just say that to the Coyote in the kitchen. When there is no sounds of flying knives and just laughter, she relaxes a bit.

Reyna Varinia Reiruno: "Hey, hey, hey, Mr. Man. Stay is one command I don't follow very well." A hand comes around the corner of the kitchen, wagging a finger at Joshua.

Joshua Coil: Okay, then.. *He ponders.* Fetch? *He smiles.* I'm joking, Reyna. Domesticated means someone who stays at home, does the dishes, cooks... like a housewife.

Laidan: Joshua's leg gets poked for teasing her, but she smiles anyway. "Can men be domesticated?" Which is Lai's way of asking if boy kin stay home sometimes.

Joshua Coil: *He pauses thoughtfully, for a moment.* If one is lucky.

Reyna Varinia Reiruno: "You better be joking. I know where you sleep." She chuckles. "If you can get through the thick-ass skulls, Laidan, then yes, they can."

Laidan: "Do you want a person to be domesticated?" She lays on the floor like she was in lupus, cushioning her head with one arm and curling up a bit.

Joshua Coil: Men are NOT more stubborn than women, *he says, looking up.*

Laidan: "She didn't say stubborn. She said men had thick ass skulls." She says, evenly. And she's serious. As if she's just stating a fact. Ah, metis are so naive...

Joshua Coil: *His head swivels back to Laidan, to direct his voice towards her.* Sometimes it would be nice. Rather than them running out all the time.

Reyna Varinia Reiruno: Her head pokes out of the kitchen, eyebrow raised at Joshua. "Now that...is the funniest thing I've heard in a long time. And you don't hear the thoughts that I ~don't~ share." She's grinning as she says it.

Laidan: "So... you want half domesticated half not?" She shifts her head to hear him better.

Reyna Varinia Reiruno: Joshua's comment draws a very visible wince from her. Ahh, geez...

Joshua Coil: It varies, *he murmurs.* I would have liked Micah domesticated.

Reyna Varinia Reiruno: When Laidan doesn't seem to react negatively to the comment, she relaxes, relieved. Her head disappears back into the kithcen, and she finishes cleaning up.

Laidan: "Mmm." She says softly, as if pondering that. She shifts, to gently butt her head against his leg, affectionately.

Joshua Coil: *He snorts at that, and idly runs his fingers over the offered head.* You're so weird.

Reyna Varinia Reiruno: "If you ask me," she says, coming back out and moving to the unoccupied couch to flop down. "Domestication's really a double-edged sword. Yeah, it's good, long as the person can stay who they were, too. Some people just wouldn't work, domesticated. It wouldn't be quite right, y'know?"

Laidan: "I like being weird." She murmurs back, tilting her head briefly into the fingers before she listens to Reyna. "I can see that, very much so."

Reyna Varinia Reiruno: "Wierd is good," she agrees, stretching her arms out along the back of the couch and leaning back. "Got me where I am today..."

Joshua Coil: Some people, yes. *He looks up to Reyna.* I don't think I could imagine you being so. But I just think... it would be nice to know where... someone is. To TRUST them.

Laidan: "Sometimes, even when there is mutal trust and understanding, they leave anyway." She lays her head back on the ground. "And... I don't think someone has to be domesticated... to trust them, per say."

Joshua Coil: *He crosses his arms. No, he's NOT bitter. Really.* SOME people need to be.

Laidan: "But... wouldn't it just make them not trust you... to force them to be domesticated when they can't?" She sounds genuinely puzzled and curious.

Reyna Varinia Reiruno: She raises an eyebrow and just sits there, one leg rising and crossing over the other as she listens.

Joshua Coil: Maybe, *he says with a shrug.* I don't know. Can't trap a wild animal.

Laidan: "So... there's no real answer to whether a person should be domesticated or not." She cocks her head slightly.

Reyna Varinia Reiruno: "Like most things in life...no, there's no real answer, hon." She regards Joshua curiously a moment.

Joshua Coil: It's a matter of opinion, and it varies for each person. *He shrugs, and lowers his head.* I'm gonna go refresh. *He grabs his coffee cup.*

Laidan: She seems to ponder this as she shifts so Josh can get up. The mood change is palable, though she looks vaguely contemplative. "Forcing someone into a role they don't want is bad anyway. Maybe that's what I did, on accident."

Reyna Varinia Reiruno: She watcnes Joshua head along, before Laidan speaks. Her head swivels, back to the Fianna. "How do you mean, hon?"

Laidan: "Brian didn't like the Garou. For pretty valid reasons. Maybe, by trying to teach him to re-enter the society at some point, I was forcing him into a role her couldn't do."

Joshua Coil: Brian also wasn't willing to attempt to change, or accept anyone who treated him well. What does that have to do with it? *He looks over his shoulder from the kitchen, refilling his cup.*

Reyna Varinia Reiruno: "Hon..." She sighs. "You were trying to help Brian. Not trying to force him into anything. Believe me...if you said that, I could say that I shouldn't have tried to help...Adam become stable."

Laidan: "Well, we were talking about domesticating people, and forcing people into roles, and people leaving and I thought of Brian." She rolls onto her stomach for a moment, and then heads up to where Reyna's voice is.

Joshua Coil: *He frowns, as all those things put together don't seem to make sense. He pours the coffee, and honey, and cream, and carries his cup out.* Wait a minute..

Laidan: "Hm?" She says to Josh, sliding up onto the couch with Reyna.

Reyna Varinia Reiruno: She leans over, against Laidan a little, arm coming down to rest along the other woman's shoulder, squeezing supportively.

Joshua Coil: *Everything is trying to click in his head.*

Laidan: She snugs Reyna back supportivly, settling against her.

Reyna Varinia Reiruno: A glance to Joshua. He's almost there...wait for it...

Joshua Coil: So... Brian... *He pauses.* Were you two close?

Laidan: She pauses, briefly. "I wanted to take him as my mate." She replies, very quietly.

Joshua Coil: *He pauses. Oooh... AWKward... He shifts from one foot to the other.* Uhh... I... *he pauses. Another wince.* Ummh... so. I have some... ice cream in the freezer.

Reyna Varinia Reiruno: A sigh. "Well, we're just a happy little bunch, ain't we?" She smiles a little, leaning her head to the side, resting it against Laidan's.

Laidan: Her lips twitch into a little bit of a smile. "Is it strawberry?"

Laidan: She raises a hand to pet Reyna's head a little bit.

Joshua Coil: Actually, it's strawberry cheesecake, *he says seriously.*

Laidan: "Maybe we should all have some ice cream then." She murmurs

Joshua Coil: *He scratches behind one ear.* Well, I was saving it for a special occasion. I guess "We're all gathered here to protect a friend who may or may not be being hunted by a mass murderer" is kind of special, in an odd way.

Laidan: "We're all alive. I think that counts as a special thing too." She nods with that little smile

Joshua Coil: Ice cream, then plotting. *He shrugs.* None for me. Trying to keep my figure. *He says so, with a completely flat face.*

Reyna Varinia Reiruno: "Alive is good." She smiles a little. She and Laidan have started a conversation like that before...

Laidan: "C'mere Josh. I bet if I pinch your stomach there's no fat there." A little smile

Joshua Coil: *He sighs.* That's not fair. I haven't worked out in... two days.

Reyna Varinia Reiruno: "No arugment from me," she says with a chuckle. "I suggest we test to make sure..." Uh-oh. Is that a mischevious look that flickered over her face?

Laidan: She chuckles softly at her packmate, her smile almost motherly. "Alright, alright..."

Laidan: She tilts her head with a curious look to Reyna.

Joshua Coil: *His eyes widen slightly.* On second thought, maybe I'll get a nap and let you two talk.

Reyna Varinia Reiruno: "Oh, relax, Captian Personal Space," she chuckles. "I'm just funnin' ya."

Joshua Coil: Really, *he says, and he rolls his shoulders.* I'll just go work out in my room a bit, then sleep. Foot in mouth syndrome seems to be hitting me hard.

Laidan: She smiles warmly to Josh anyway. "It was good to see you again Josh..."

Reyna Varinia Reiruno: She sighs a little, but nods. "A'ight. Have a good nap."

Joshua Coil: *Laidan gets a small touch of her shoulder, gently, and a stroke. Just a moment of closeness.* You, behave, *he mutters. And a look over to Reyna as well.* Same goes to you. I'll see you both later. I'll take over guard duty as soon as I get up.

Laidan: She rumbles softly to Joshua with a faint smile.

Reyna Varinia Reiruno: "Me, behave?" She mock pouts. "Awww... oookay..." She grins, and nods. "Sleep well, Joshua."

Laidan: Once Josh disappears in his room, she shifts and wraps arms around Reyna, cuddling her.

Reyna Varinia Reiruno: She leans over, into the cuddling with a sigh. "You doin' okay, hon?"

Laidan: "The question here is not about me, it's about you." She asks softly, smoothing a hand through the other woman's hair.

Reyna Varinia Reiruno: "Me?" She looks over at Laidan, blinking. A little shrug. "I'm fine. My shit's out of the K-R finally, I'm staying here...what's there to not be okay about?"

Laidan: She pokes the woman's nose slightly. "I may be blind, but I'm not dumb. Your emotions are as clear as day to me, Reyna." She snuggles the woman a little more. "You're hurt. You feel left out."

Reyna Varinia Reiruno: She stares at the woman a moment, then blinks. "I'm just on the outside, lookin' in, hon." She shrugs a little bit. "Not the first time, probably won't be the last, either, y'know? Just the way it is...nothin' to be done, I don't think."

Laidan: "There's always something to be done, Reyna." She rests her head on Reyna's, petting the woman's arm lightly. "And just because 'that's the way it is' doesn't mean it doesn't sting a bit. Nor does it mean it will always be that way."

Reyna Varinia Reiruno: She sighs. "Yeah, well, we'll see. S'all good, though, hon. I'm a trooper. Whatever happens, we'll get through it."

Laidan: "Reyna?"

Reyna Varinia Reiruno: "Yeah?"

Laidan: She smoothes a kiss to the woman's head and pulls her closer to her. "Love you. And I promise to be here for you. I promise. You won't be alone."

Reyna Varinia Reiruno: She sighs, deeply, and leans in close to Laidan, wrapping her arms around her. "Love you too, Laidan. And neither will you. A'ight?"

Laidan: She murmurs softly under her breath, just a whisper of air really. She nuzzles Reyna slowly, holding her.

Reyna Varinia Reiruno: "So, back to you," she says, clearing her throat. "You okay?"

Laidan: She moves to rest her chin on the other's shoulder. "I'm okay."

Reyna Varinia Reiruno: "Okay," she says, accepting it for now. She smiles at Laidan, reaching over to bursh hair back from the Fianna's face. "Long as you're sure."

Laidan: She snuggles into the other, resisting the urge to start half grooming the woman. "Do you still want that ice cream?"

Reyna Varinia Reiruno: "Mmmm..." She considers, a little smile on her lips, and nods. "Sure. Lemme go spoon us up some."

Laidan: "Or... I could get it." She unwraps herself from the other woman. "And then... we can eat it, and you can sleep, and I'll keep watch."

Reyna Varinia Reiruno: "How 'bout we both go get it," she says with a grin. "And as far as sleep...ah, hell, I've had a whole five hours of sleep. That's huge, for me." She shrugs. "We can keep watch together, though."

Laidan: She wrinkles her nose slightly. If she had her way, Reyna would sleep. They'd see. She smiles and nods a bit. "Alright. We'll get it together and we'll keep watch together."

Reyna Varinia Reiruno: "Cool." She chuckles and gets up, heading toward the kitchen to get the ice cream, making sure to keep to Laidan's side.

Laidan: Laidan seems fairly confidant in her steps, but then again, she's got Reyna to follow. "I should probably follow the walls at some poiint..." She muses out loud.

Reyna Varinia Reiruno: "To get a feel for the place?" She looks over to Lai. "Might be a good idea, yeah..." She goes into the freezer, getting the ice cream out, and goes hunting for bowls.

Laidan: "More like so I don't walk into walls. I -still- do that at the place with the kids sometimes. But it makes them giggle, so I really can't complain..." She smiles slightly.

Reyna Varinia Reiruno: She chuckles a little. "Anything for a laugh, right? I think I'm rubbin' off on ya."

Laidan: "A little laughter can go a long way, you've taught me." She smiles a bit. "S'not so bad if you rub off on me."

Reyna Varinia Reiruno: "Yeah, sure, you say that now..." She grins. "Just wait and see." She starts spooning up for them.

Laidan: "I think you're a good person to look up to. You give people strength." She tilts her head, listening to the woman move.

Reyna Varinia Reiruno: "I give people strength, usually, by pissin' 'em off, hon." She chuckles. "You can ask the Ingster about that. But the thought is appreciated. Can't say the idea of bein' a role model is something I've ever thought of before, but..." She shrugs. "Hey, s'all good, right?"

Laidan: "Ingvar gets pissed off at a lot of things." She points out, quiet patiently. "And you've never pissed me off, and you've given me a lot of strength."

Reyna Varinia Reiruno: "That's 'cause we get along so well," she says with a grin, though it's faint. "Trust me, though. At some point, I'll do somethin' stupid. It ain't happened yet, but I'm a good 6 months past my due date for turning a friend into an enemy by saying the wrong thing."

Laidan: She shakes her head before she's done saying it. "I won't be your enemy because you say something stupid, Reyna. I might get hurt, but you'd still be my friend, and I'd still love you anyway. Sometimes we say dumb shit. Lotta people have said mean things to me. And only one of those people I ever pulled away from. And that's because she did a lot more than say something stupid." A little chuckle.

Reyna Varinia Reiruno: She smiles a bit at that, but shakes her head. "Just...if I ever piss you off. Lemme know, a'ight? Even if it looks like I did it deliberately, I probably didn't."

Laidan: "Okay." She says it very agreeably. "But I doubt you will."

Reyna Varinia Reiruno: "I hope not," she says sincerely, and she hands Laidan a bowl, spoon and ice cream inside.

Laidan: "Thank you." Ice cream makes everything a little bit better. She takes the bowl happily.

Reyna Varinia Reiruno: She grabs her own bowl and nods, leading Laidan back out to the living room. She flops back down on a couch. "Ice creamy goodness. Friends. Can't argue this this at all..."

Laidan: She slides down next to Reyna, and scootches next to her again, licking the spoon a little. "The friend's part makes it the best."

Reyna Varinia Reiruno: "Damn skippy," she says with a chuckle. "Thanks, Laidan. You're a champ."

Laidan: "What's a champ?" She asks around a spoonful of ice cream.

Reyna Varinia Reiruno: "Champ. Champion. You know...the best."

Laidan: "Ohhh." There was a pause, and a little grin as she nudges. "But I thought we decided a little while ago you were the best because you were perfect."

Reyna Varinia Reiruno: "Well, yeah." She grins. "But we're in different divisions, hon. I'm in the Coyote Division, and you're in the Wolf Division."

Laidan: She laughs softly, leaning her head against the other's shoulder. "So. You're the best in the coyote diviion, and I'm the best in the wolf division? Are there any other divisions?"

Reyna Varinia Reiruno: "Oh, there's plenty of divisions. I mean divisions by the cartload."

Laidan: She spoons a little more ice cream in her mouth, chuckling quietly. "Thank you Reyna."

Reyna Varinia Reiruno: "Any time, hon." She takes a spoonful of ice cream, and bumps Laidan lightly with her shoulder. "Any time at all. Thank you, too."

Laidan: "I'm glad you're you." She says quite contently.

Reyna Varinia Reiruno: "I'm glad I'm me too, most of the time." She smiles. "And I'm very glad you're you."

Laidan: "Me too. I like me now, not like when I first came."

Reyna Varinia Reiruno: "Yeah, you've come a long way since I've known you." She nods. "Which is a very, very good thing."

Laidan: She flushes slighly and curls more into the woman. "Yeah..."

Reyna Varinia Reiruno: She chuckles a little, and bumps her with her shoulder. "You're blushing, hon." She says it with a soft, kind sort of amusement.

Laidan: That seems to make her bluse more. "What does it look like?" She asks softly, still tucked against Reyna.

Reyna Varinia Reiruno: "Red flush to your skin. Mostly your cheeks." She grins. It's a good look on you."

Laidan: She brushes her fingers against her cheek, curiously, and then drops her hand again. "Do you blush too?"

Reyna Varinia Reiruno: "Not often, these days," she laughs a little. "Hard to embarass me anymore. But yeah, occasionally it happens. Not quite as visible, though, with my skin color."

Laidan: "What's your skin color like?" She asks, so curious. "I'm very fair. I got to see once."

Reyna Varinia Reiruno: "I'm Native American/Mexican mix...fairly dark. Like, a dusky brown, I guess."

Laidan: She tries to think about that, wishing she could put a color to the words. "Reyna, you can go in the Umbra, right?"

Reyna Varinia Reiruno: "Yep. You probably won't believe this, 'cause no one does, but the Nuwisha actually originally taught the Garou how, our story goes."

Laidan: "You should tell me the story sometimes," she smiles lightly. "And... will you come with me? To the Fountain some day in Central Park. Great White Mouse... they granted me this... this thing. I can put it in my ear, and I can see..."

Reyna Varinia Reiruno: "Mouse kicks ass." She grins. "Of course I will."

Laidan: She squirms slightly and smiles brightly. "Thank you..."

Ashlyn Reale: Ashlyn's door opens, and lo and behold, there's the kinfolk walking out shamelessly with long gauzy material draped over one arm, carrying whatever little trinkets of decoration she'd been working on for a few sleepless hours. Her steps are soft, padding barefoot over hardwood floors.

Reyna Varinia Reiruno: She looks over her shoulder as the door opens, and smiles. "Hey, Ashlyn. Got someone here I'd like you to meet."

Laidan: What, people? She tucks herself a little more against Reyna, too blue sightless eyes turning in Ashlyn's direction.

Ashlyn Reale: "Hmm? Didn't invite me to the sleepover, I see," she scolds Reyna lightly, playfully. All that despite an easy half a dozen reasons she ought to be throwing a fit. Her voice is pleasant in the bland way of an American, and comes from high up in the room - she's tall, but light weight more or less, as her steps seem to indicate. The lingering waft of expensive perfume marks her passing and heralds her entrance. Shimmery sheer gold pillow cases are set onto the back of the couch for the time being, smiling easily to Reyna and the pale eyed woman. "Hi," she greets easily, warmly.

Reyna Varinia Reiruno: "Yeah, well...thought you were sleeping, and I didn't want to disturb your beauty rest." She winks to Ashlyn. "Ashlyn Reale...this is Laidan. Laidan, this is Ashlyn."

Laidan: "Hello." She says softly, tucking her head a little bit to the other woman. "It's very nice to meet you, Miss Reale."

Ashlyn Reale: "Sweety, if Josh can call me Ashlyn, so can you," she offers, not unkindly. Something about her easy demeanor and body language might suggest that, as she isn't the most perceptive person around, Ashlyn may not yet realize that little nagging quirk about Lai's eyes. She settles palms on the back of the couch and leans there, tall and graceful looking. "Nice to meet you, too. Have you two known eachother for long?"

Laidan: She tilts her head as she seems to think about this, a contemplative look on her face. "Since... Febuary?" She cocks an ear towards Reyna.

Reyna Varinia Reiruno: "Since about then, yeah." She grins. "Been a busy year, so it feels like longer...but yeah, February."

Laidan: Things had been much much different then. Certain people had been around then, and many had left since them. It had really changed. She was contemplative for a moment, before she made a little sound and nodded to Reyna in agreement.

Ashlyn Reale: "Wow." Softly. Surprised, by the look and sound of it, how long that's really turned out to be this year.

Laidan: "Ive been in New York a year now." She adds, as if it just occured to her.

Reyna Varinia Reiruno: "I like to think it's the city." She shrugs a little, still leaning comfortably against Laidan. "I mean, shit, when you're talkin' 'bout the City that Never Sleeps, that leaves a lot of extra time in the day...a lot of extra time in the year, then, too. Well, that and we seem be able to pack a lifetime's worth of events into each week."

Reyna Varinia Reiruno: "Me too, Lai." She nods. "Which is a record for me, by the way, not including my hometown. Since I left my hometown at 16, I don't think I've been in a city longer then two, three months before leaving."

Ashlyn Reale: "Why go? You never make real friends." For all that she can talk.

Laidan: "Yeah, we really do have that tendancy to do a lotta things in way too little time." She muses, and then grins a little. "Well, I'm glad you stayed. I think I said that a few times."

Reyna Varinia Reiruno: "I'd end up pissin' someone off, and then had to high-tail it out in the Bitchmobile with bullets or fur flyin' right on my ass," she says with a grin to Ashlyn. She looks to Laidan and nods. "Yeah, I know. You've said that. Still nice to hear, though."

Laidan: She shakes her head a bit at Reyna, her ear turning towards a noise before she determine's it's nothing and settles again. "How long have you been in New York Ashlyn?"

Ashlyn Reale: "All my life, to the best of my knowledge," she replies easily. There's a rustle as she picks up a deep red throw pillow and begins to sort through the gold pillow covers. She adds, "I can't couch for the time before cognizant memory. But from what I do know, yeah, I've always been here. With creature comforts - like when I was a girl, I was in love with the little white tinkerbell powder compacts? Things like that."

Laidan: She rolls a lip between her teeth for a moment, and then asks softly, "What's a tinkerbell powder compact?"

Reyna Varinia Reiruno: "A make-up kit, Laidan." She smiles a little bit. "Me, I was never into the make-up thing 'till I was older. I was pulling pranks until I discovered boys, and then, I was pulling...well." She chuckles. "Anyway..."

Ashlyn Reale: "A compact. You know, for powder - face powder?" she prompts. She speaks with the tone of one speaking of something blatantly obvious, but not quite rudely so. The tone is casual and pleasant still, fastening glittering plastic buttons on the pillow case - plastic made to resemble jewels made to resemble dragonflies

Laidan: Her face flushes, just a little, and she shakes her head. She's got absolutely no idea what either woman is talking about. When you're blind, you don't put make up on.

Ashlyn Reale: She looks from one to the other, bewildered and silenced by the general lack of immediate understanding with the others.

Reyna Varinia Reiruno: "Laidan doesn't have a lot of make-up knowledge, Ashlyn." She smiles a little. "She's never really used any, and doesn't quite have the ability to properly apply her own."

Laidan: Hr cheeks get a little redder at the silence from Ashlyn, feeling embaressed. She really should explain that whole metis thing, but she doesn't quiet have the words, so she let's Reyna handle it for now.

Ashlyn Reale: Her jaw drops about half an inch, facing Reyna with a look of disbelief. "Surely, you jest."

Reyna Varinia Reiruno: "No." She shakes her head. "Laidan was born blind."

Laidan: She swallows and then lifts her head up a bit. "I'm a metis."

Ashlyn Reale: "Oh." A hand raises fingers to her lips, covering them in a chastised look. "Sorry. I didn't...realize..." Pause. Blink. "I thought Metis was a...whoever Zeus ate? Pregnant chick?"

Laidan: She moves to gather her bowl and Reyna's, clearing her throat slightly. "A metis is what happens when a Garou sleeps with another Garou. The result is that the Metis is born in Crinos, with a deformity, and barren." Its recited, like she'd heard it a billion times. Carefully steps begin to take her to the kitchen, cheeks still flushed.

Reyna Varinia Reiruno: She reaches out and touches Laidan's shoulder, a supportive gesture, and looks back to Ashlyn. "Of course you didn't...no one's saying you did. It's...well, like what Laidan said. The product of two Garou mating."

Ashlyn Reale: "So that's why there are still humans," she murmurs. And then hushes, cheeks pinking. Nobody's scolded her - they haven't had to, to get the look.

Laidan: She could go into how they're not liked, but she doesn't feel like it now. Careful, slow steps to the kitchen, and fingers sliding along the counter until she gets to the sink. The soft sounds of water come from there as she cleans out the bowls.

Reyna Varinia Reiruno: "Well, not exactly," she says with a chuckle. "It's not like the Garou only keep people around because they need some way to get down. While there are some wolves who don't like humans, there's many others who genuinely love humanity. Humans are here because they're here. And the Garou live side by side, and yeah, breeding with them...wolves, too. But that's not all it is."

Laidan: "Well... there is no point in killing humans." Comes the soft voice form the kitchen. "Expose ourselves to them, and they'd turn on us and slaughtered us faster than we could believe. That's why the Litany says to not rend the Veil. Do you know what kin are Ashlyn?"

Ashlyn Reale: "Right..." Ahem. Time to go on looking mortified. She feigns interest in the pillows, fidgeting to close up the buttons on that first pillow.

Ashlyn Reale: "Family, friends, blooded humans, and breeding stock all in one neat, delicate package?"

Laidan: "Family, friends, lovers, mates..." She murmurs. "Humans who are not affected by the delerium." She moves back out of the kitchen with those slow, easy steps.

Reyna Varinia Reiruno: She stays quiet as Laidan speaks up to explain, eyes flicking between kitchen and Ashlyn, face calm, almost a little of her trademarked curiosity.

Ashlyn Reale: "Right. Which doesn't mean it's not scary as -hell- to see any of you so much as snarl when you're big, mean and hairy, but we don't necessarily forget our toilet training for the time, either. It makes this whole thing easier, in theory?" She speaks up a bit to be heard for this part, at least.

Laidan: "A lot easier. Plus, you're not as succeptiple to the Rage that drives us." She moves back to the couch, and flops down beside Reyna.

Ashlyn Reale: "Sounds like we're a lot less likely to go apeshit and murder a crying infant, then," she offers in the way of positive feedback.

Reyna Varinia Reiruno: "Pretty much, yeah." She nods. "As a side point...as far as the humans go. If some group of bull-headed wolves, or any other group for that matter, tried to take out the humans...well, remember, like I told you. We Nuwisha consider all of humanity our kind...our family, friends, lovers, and mates. So we and a bonuch of others, including the Garou, would be takin' issue with that."

Ashlyn Reale: She seems to relax when Reyna informs her of this, easing if only by a bit.

Laidan: "They be..." She shakes her head. "If any Garou really took it that far, they'd be severely punished. I don't know about the Red Talons, but... you don't do that. That's rending the Veil."

Ashlyn Reale: "So wait, you have laws... do their apply to your significant others, as well?" Curious? Hell, yes.

Laidan: "No one explained to you the Litany?" She blinks, cocking her head. "And in a way, yes."

Reyna Varinia Reiruno: "Not us, nope." She shakes her head. "We don't mate with our own as a general rule, 'cause we simply can't stand to be around each other that long." She chuckles. "But when it does happen...we don't have metis among the Nuwisha...nothing ever comes from two of us gettin' it on."

Ashlyn Reale: "They...sort of did, but I wasn't sure if I had a real place in it. I got the impression that I should see my, ah...tribe about it, but I haven't seen hide nor hair of them. Not a huge loss, I guess, since I've gone the last few long years without them. No offense. But this human thing has been good to me thus far, and I don't intend on telling the world about werewolves. That must, apparently, be good enough for them." She's.. not -quite- careless outside of her body language. It's just a casual tone, one she's wasting no time on for serious introspection.

Laidan: "What's your tribe?" She tilts her head slowly, slowly curling up against Reyna.

Reyna Varinia Reiruno: "Whoa." She blinks. "Totally misheard that question."

Laidan: "Uhm?" She asks Reyna a little sleepily. So much for her making Reyna sleep.

Ashlyn Reale: She grins to Reyna, amused. And blinks at Laidan. "Oh. That? ...Shit, what did Josh say?"

Ashlyn Reale: "Eff, eff. Fianna. The fifty greatest stealth masters ever. I keep hearing, oh yeah, there are plenty around the area! But, you know. Whatever. We've all had better things to do, I guess, and I'm -perfectly- happy with knowing amazingly cool garou like those I've met so far."

Reyna Varinia Reiruno: "Nothing, hon." She grins to Laidan, petting her hair. "You're fine."

Reyna Varinia Reiruno: She looks at Ashlyn, and blinks. "Well, here's serendipity for you." She looks back to Laidan.

Laidan: The metis lowers her head, looking a bit guilty. "You're my kin, Ashlyn. I'm Fianna. I'm sorry I haven't been there... and I only know of one other kin besides myself."

Ashlyn Reale: She covers her unexpected laugh with both hands, cupping her mouth and nose, obscuring the grin and pink, burning cheeks. "Holy awkward moment! This is, ah... woah. Sorry. Sorry, sorry, we shouldn't have been introduced like...this."

Reyna Varinia Reiruno: She leans her head against Laidan, arm sliding around her comfortingly. "You've been pretty damn busy, hon. Ain't your fault."

Laidan: Ohh... she's not mad at her. She relaxes against Reyna visibly with a smile. "Don't apologize, it's okay. I promise to fill you in about the Litany tomrorow..."

Ashlyn Reale: "Great. Ah, feel free to stay however long you need to - the night, the week, whatever. You're...family." And damn, but she sounds awkward claiming such. She smiles, hands lowering to be able to see it. "I'd better get back to bed - I'll see you both in the morning? And have a nice chat again.."

Laidan: "Thank you Ashlyn... sleep well." Comes the sleept response as too blue eyes close. She'd wake up in a little while, to relieve Reyna...

Ashlyn Reale: "Sweet dreams!" she calls on her way to her bedroom. Where all of the good smells come from. Yes, the nice girly room.

Reyna Varinia Reiruno: "Good night, Ashlyn." She smiles to the model and leans back, letting Laidan doze off, to begin her watch.
