Aerin Thomas: Morning. Okay, not morning...mid-afternoon. Still, the man looks like he's just woken up. He's in a constant state of such, lately, what with being worried about his mate, taking on full responsibility for his daughter, and the usual stressing about so many other things. A busy man, this Aerin is. He makes his way down the street, Tori Dream held in a sling around his body, an arm cradling her as he moves. His other hand holds his walking staff, tapping against the ground with each step as he makes his way down the street, tired. He's dressed in his usual outfit...the leather trench over a green button-down shirt, with a pair of slacks and his steel-toed boots completing the ensemble. His face is newly clean-shaven, revealing his baby face.

Aerin Thomas: He sighs a little and rubs his face as he looks around on a street corner, looking both ways...nothing. The light turns, and cross the street he does. Baby Tori coos happily as they walk across. He hits the other side of the street and turns right, heading down to the local book store.

Aerin Thomas: Along the street, he keeps sure to stay clear of people approaching...the man's facial hair may be gone, but his paranoia didn't shed with it. And no one gets in a position to threaten his daughter.

Aerin Thomas: He pushes his way into the book store, doing a quick look around for some selections for Ita to read. Gotta find SOMETHING to keep her occupied, so she doesn't get up and start stressing herself.

Aerin Thomas: He finds a few good books, a decent selection of topics the Rroma woman enjoys, and heads to the counter, paying for them. A quick look around and a sigh, rubbing at his eyes tiredly.

Aerin Thomas: He thanks the clerk and heads out, bag of books slung around the wrist holding the staff. He sighs and heads back toward the apartment, to drop off the books off at home.

2 HOURS LATER....BATTERY PARK

Meg Psiharis: (( Here! ))

Alyssa Kostapoulos: Alyssa is sitting in an out of the way soft patch of grass in Battery park. She's sprawled out on a white cloth, layed picnic style reading a book and eating kalamata olives. She has her heavy bag to the side of her, along with her ceremonial falcata, jug and goblet. She's dressed in a tiny white robe, clothes in a sloppy pile next to her bag.

Cameron Gerard: ((here also))

Aerin Thomas: The books have been delivered home, and the man is now out on a walk with his daughter, enjoying the Park. He makes his way into the park, Tori Dream held in a sling around his body, an arm cradling her as he moves. His other hand holds his walking staff, tapping against the ground with each step as he walks, tired. He's dressed in his usual outfit...the leather trench over a green button-down shirt, with a pair of slacks and his steel-toed boots completing the ensemble. His face is newly clean-shaven, revealing his baby face.

Alyssa Kostapoulos: ((also i'm rolling out her morning mind shield.. extended casting, 1wp in the first roll. she'll be putting sux to raise diff of detection assuming she's successful. And no.. she didn't cast in battery.))

Alyssa Kostapoulos: d10: arete: 2,7,9,

Alyssa Kostapoulos: d10: arete: 7,7,5,

Alyssa Kostapoulos: ((putting 2 sux toward raising the diff for detection. now. you can roll awareness if you like))

Cameron Gerard: Cameron walks up towards the rhe railings across the grass his hands in his pockets his step light.

Meg Psiharis: Firmly against the use of purses as she is, Meg of the bare necessities walks on through the park, perhaps out of place hugging a notebook to her front. Her tan hasn't faded in the least, despite the cool weather setting in already. Nor does she bother to wear a jacket. Tee shirt, jeans, scuffed boots disappearing under those jeans. They all look old, and the shirt is obviously cut for a boy, no taken in sides or restricting, tiny sleeves. You know. Beyond the whole, being made for a smaller boy thing.

Alyssa Kostapoulos: Alyssa turns the page of her book and reaches idly for her goblet, taking a sip without looking up. She's laying on her stomach, bare feet kicking in a playful rhythm behind her.

Aerin Thomas: d10: Per+Alertness: 9,8,6,1,9,4,

Cameron Gerard: He looks at his watch and then settles back against a nearby tree leaning back he glances over the water and then about.

Cameron Gerard: d10: Perception Alertness: 4,4,2,8,

Alyssa Kostapoulos: d10: Per+alertness: 10,9,6,6,10,

Aerin Thomas: He scans the park as he walks in, noting Alyssa first, obviously...even in a city as nutty as New York, there's not many people who stroll through the parks in tiny white robes with ceremonial knives nearby. That gets a look of interest, and then his eyes look around further, glancing at Meg and Cameron briefly.

Meg Psiharis: d10: per + alert: 2,4,1,7,9,

Alyssa Kostapoulos: Alyssa blinks up curiously. Mmm.. people. She gives a bright smile to Cameron and waves him over, before blinking to Meg with a soft giggle. She offers another friendly wave in her direction.

Alyssa Kostapoulos: Alyssa locks eyes with Aerin when he looks at her. She offers a bright smile in his direction and a flash of passionate brown eyes.

Cameron Gerard: He spots the wave and smiles in return, pushing himself up again he runs a hand through his hair before shrugging and walking over. he drops down onto his side when he's near and props himself up on his arm looking to her. "Heya."

Alyssa Kostapoulos: Alyssa rolls around to her back to look at Cameron "Hi. I haven't see you lately. I thought maybe you didn't like me anymore."

Meg Psiharis: Meg looks about for a bench - where did the damned things go? The girl wears beaten bronze cuffs over both wrists and a brown, thick leather cuff studded with seashells over her left elbow. Noting Alyssa, and at least somewhat aware of the others (no luck with a bench), she waves to the thankfully calm one. A glance left, then right, and shr trots on toward the belly-down woman. "Are you okay this time?" she calls toward her, notably with a grin. No mean ol' manly types around! Whee!

Alyssa Kostapoulos: Alyssa gives Meg a bright smile "Of course I'm okay, girl. Why would I not be?"

Aerin Thomas: He maintains the gaze, brow slightly raised, and then gives Alyssa a nod and polite smile in greeting. He moves over to a bench, taking a seat. Tori coos at something and he looks down, smiling and saying something in Romani.

Cameron Gerard: he looks up to where meg is.

Meg Psiharis: "Well, maybe if you bled to death..." she suggests, and shrugs. "Moot point. You wouldn't be here if that were the case." A pause, and she looks to the guy at her side, squinting faintly. Golden-brown eyes lock on him as if trying to puzzle out some nagging detail.

Alyssa Kostapoulos: Alyssa gives a soft laugh. In her tiny robe, you can make out the scars along Alyssa's forearms and thighs. All prescice clean cuts. Ordered. "I'm not going to bleed to death. Silly." She sits up and leans against Cameron.

Cameron Gerard: He cocks his head up to Alyssa and smiles friedlily "Should hope not, be an awul waste." he says tteasingly.

Meg Psiharis: The girl glances aside, and looks back to the two, a touch more awkward when she's only a few feet away. "Can I sit with you?" she asks in that lame, teenaged stranger way, not entirely certain if she's butting in to couple time or not. No presuming to judge with Stabby But Interesting Chick.

Aerin Thomas: A glance up from his spot at mention of bleeding to death. My, the things you hear in Battery these days...I remember when it was just simple discussion of torture and psychotic multiple personalities. He chuckles a little and shakes his head, sighing, before listening idly, attenion half-focused on the trio, half-focused on his daughter.

Alyssa Kostapoulos: Alyssa extends her arms to Meg "Of course you can." She wiggles over, not taking the proper percautions to ensure that she's sitting in a lady like fashion, likely flashing the girl with more than she cares to see. "Sit."

Cameron Gerard: He half shrugs looking back to her "By all means"

Meg Psiharis: Despite how tan her cheeks are, they go from pink to red quickly. Her eyes snap away to the man with the baby that is presumably his, and Meg sits down beside the two. Crosslegged and slouched. While there is not a damned care for being ladylike and restrained, neither is she wearing anything that might show herself off purposefully. Beyond, you know, wearing what might be her brother's summer camp shirt as of ten years ago. "Thanks." The notebook is plopped onto her lap, a brown and pink striped thing. This is probably the most modern thing she owns. "I don't think we got to introductions last time. I'm Megaera." And she bobs a nod to the both of them, long, tangled, frizzy brown hair swaying all uncared for like.

Alyssa Kostapoulos: Alyssa gives the girl a friendly smile, leaning close to her to look down at the notebook. She appears to have no regard for personal space "Alyssa Kostapoulos."

Aerin Thomas: He glances up, noting their names out of sheer habit, idly putting matching them to the faces out of future reference.

Meg Psiharis: "Second gen?" she wonders to Alyssa, and turns the striped notebook over to be seen. She doesn't shrink from the other leaning in. Nor does she lean toward it. The lack of personal space is simply accepted easily from another woman.

Cameron Gerard: he props up slightly to get a look at the book before sipping back ressuming the proped on arm position his eyes wondering aimlesly around half dream like.

Alyssa Kostapoulos: Alyssa gives a soft laugh "No no.. I'm not American. I just got here. I'll be going back to my family when my acarya is ready. Just visiting." She says almost defensively. "How long have you been here? Where do the local barbarian goat herders keep their flock.. I've been having the hardest time finding one.."

Meg Psiharis: "I've always been here," she replies without any particular shame. Only an American accent, bland and neutral. She watches Alyssa for a moment, then looks aside to the others once again. She doesn't try to hold back a smile this time on noting the baby. "Uhm, goat herders? There's no room in the city for it. You can import parts, I guess, but goats for real? Goat-goats? Try out in the country, they might have some. You'll most likely find cows, chickens, and horses, though. Er. What do you need goats for, anyway?"

Aerin Thomas: "I'm sorry...pardon me." Yeah, he just has to make sure here he heard right. He smiles to the group, and looks to Alyssa. "Hi, I'm sorry, but I couldn't help but overhear...you're looking for a goat?"

Alyssa Kostapoulos: Alyssa gives Aerin a bright smile "Do you have one?"

Cameron Gerard: He shakes his head half in disbelief and half in amusment, his eyes still wondering around.

Laidan [lupus]: d10: per+alert: 7,7,2,8,7,9,9,

Aerin Thomas: "No, I don't," he says with a little smile, shaking his head. "But there's several places you can get goat meat if you need...if you need a full, live goat, you'd have to go at leats 45 minutes out of the city to buy one."

Laidan [lupus]: She knew that scent, very well. The wolf -dog?- slips out from between the trees and pads towards Aerin and the baby. She slides under his bench, and settles there without a fuss. ((pb4, poke for full dd))

Alyssa Kostapoulos: Alyssa gives a soft laugh "I know plenty of places to get meat from. I was looking for the whole goat. Out of the city you say?" She thinks "Maybe I can get Thomas to take me out to the forrest again. He seems to enjoy getting out. Though I don't know if he cares for goats.."

Cameron Gerard: d10: Perception alertness: 2,9,6,5,

Aerin Thomas: He looks over, smiling warmly upon seeing Laidan appear. He reaches down to pat her flank before looking up to Alyssa. "Yes, out of the city, I'm afraid."

Cameron Gerard: His head swings to where the wolf comes out of the trees and goes under the bench, he brings his hand up and rubs his eyes, gives a little shake a settles down again. "mm." he notes to himself with some suprise and then another shrug.

Laidan [lupus]: She lifts her head to bump Aerin's hand gently, and then lowers her head again. The wolf does seem to have tags...

Meg Psiharis: d10: per + alert: 6,6,9,7,8,

Alyssa Kostapoulos: Alyssa doesn't seem surprised in the slightest. She smiles brightly at the wolf, then moves to start putting her jug and short sword back in the bag. She takes the goblet to her lips to drink the rest of the wine and stuffs that in too. "Thank you, man." she says to Aerin. "Your advice will not go unnoticed by the gods. You'll be rewarded."

Meg Psiharis: She's much sharper, noting the wolf-dog-fluffy-thing much sooner than she'd noted people. Or the bench, for that matter. She grins upon seeing the wolf, and looks to each of the three older people around her, back to the father. "Is she yours? Can I pet her?"

Aerin Thomas: He regards Alyssa for a moment, and then nods respectfully. "I'll keep that in mind, Miss Kostapoulos. And you're welcome."

Alyssa Kostapoulos: Alyssa stuffs her clothes back in the cloth and leans back to give Cameron a quick kiss on the cheek "Do you have my number?"

Laidan [lupus]: She flicks her ears up, listening to people move and talk and adjust.

Aerin Thomas: ((Laidan-P's connection just crapped out for the site...give her a few.)) He looks to Meg at her question. "She belongs to a friend of mine...and I don't think it would be too much of a problem..." He looks down at Laidan, to see if she's looking adverse through canine body language, cradling Tori Dream carefully.

Cameron Gerard: "I think so" he digs in his pocket pulling out a small phone and looks through "yep there ya are." he says with a smile. "will make good use of it soon I promise." he says with a grin leaning up to kiss her on the cheek in return.

Laidan [lupus]: She doesn't look adverse to being touched, though her posture is a little wary, as always. But she doesn't seem like she'd snap if Meg came over.

Alyssa Kostapoulos: Alyssa stands with a bright smile down to Cameron "Come by sometime. I'll cook you dinner." Alyssa leans down to give Meg a tight hug.. quite out of the blue "It was nice meeting you Megaera." A bright smile to Aerin "You too, man."

Cameron Gerard: "Sounds great." he says with a smile running a hand through his hair.

Aerin Thomas: "Go ahead," he nods to Meg. A glance goes to Alyssa, and he smiles to her. "Nice meeting you too, Alyssa. Good afternoon, and good luck with your goat."

Meg Psiharis: She blinks at this, but hugs Alyssa in return. "Sure. Sure thing. It's good to see you. We have to talk some time, if we meet again."

Alyssa Kostapoulos: Alyssa starts bouncing away from the group "I don't need luck.. I'm in the Moerae's favor.." she hums herself a merry tune on her way out.

Meg Psiharis: Alyssa is released easily, and she grins, pleased. The look is imperfect. She doesn't need braces, no, but well... she's average. Obviously so. In most ways. "Coooool," she replies to Aerin. The notebook slides down to the grass, forgotten for the moment as she crawls over toward the bench. Not too fast, andmaking no secret of her presence. She crawls over on hands and knees, being that it's not so very far away. She's... odd. In subtle ways. When her elbows lock in place, they dent inwards, going straight, even bending out a little in a way most peoples' arms never should or could. Her sharply defined shoulder blades prod up, shifting very obviously under the snug tee shirt. There's something canine about that shift, though it's certainly not impossible on a person. Quirks, just run of the mill body quirks for the perceptive.

Alyssa Kostapoulos: ((Ehh.. ickie job. Have to go. *hugs* thanks guys))

Aerin Thomas: "Must be nice," he says with a chuckle, watching her leave. He shakes his head and then starts gently bouncing Tori as she stirs and gives a semi-plaintive little noise.

Cameron Gerard: He watches he go, smiling widley and a nod, looking puzzled when she starts talking about 'Moerae's favour' but he shrugs it off a moment later and sits up looking about for a moment.

Meg Psiharis: (( *snug* Thanks for playing with us! ))

Aerin Thomas: Eyes flick up to Meg, watching her with a little interest in her crawl. He tilts his head a little to the side, watching the girl approach Laidan, eyes calm but intent on her.

Laidan [lupus]: (Byyeee) If Laidan could see Meg, she's be extremely impressed. But as it is, she can only hear and smell the woman, and her head and ears shift to 'look' at her. She snorts, and then stretches her nose out slightly to sniff at Meg.

Aerin Thomas: ((*Hugs the Alyssa-P*))
